Why does the camera jerk so much when the ball is hit on RTTS defense?

This drives me crazy. Playing infield in RTTS, how is someone supposed to get a good feel for where the ball is hit when the camera jerks like crazy the instant the ball is hit? I basically can't tell where the ball is until it's halfway to me. This could easily be fixed if the camera just basically stayed still.

    Can this be fixed please?

I play SS as well. I know this definitely happens when you are running the bases which is definitely visible. The PS4 Pro might fix the base running issue I dont own one so I cant say for sure. There is also a weird jerking motion when you are a runner on 3rd base and pan the camera toward the outfield.

OP could also be referring to if playing infiled and a pop up is over your head and you are running towards the outfiled the camera will reverse causing you to hold the stick in the wrong direction. Plenty of fielding issues with RTTS and Player Lock. I just try to deal with them.

The only issue mentioned that I've experienced is the pop up thing. I'll run forward, just to have the camera switch and have me running away

The camera really doesn't move at all as soon as the ball is hit for you guys? It stays perfectly still from the pitch to right after contact? Because for me there is an immediate drastic perspective shift as soon as any ground ball is hit, which causes me to take a while to pick up where the ball is. Usually at least halfway to me or even more.

edit: also, yeah, the popup thing is very annoying.

Here, from some random youtube video of someone playing as an infielder. Notice how as soon as the ball is hit the camera jerks to the side? This causes me to completely lose the ball every single time. It has nothing to do with him moving the camera pre-pitch, it happens every single time.

Maybe it doesn't bother you guys very much, but I really can't explain why, I just cannot see the ball when the camera jumps like this.

Am I the only not not seeing it? Lol. I don't see it in my game, nor the YouTube video

Am I missing something? I just don't see the camera 'jerk'. Like at all.

All I can say is that as soon as the ball is hit the camera angle clearly moves. It appears to be a shift from centering so that the pitcher and catcher are both in the screen to very quickly centering on the ball. It is much more pronounced at third base, which is where I am playing.

I'll be honest. I didn't notice it till the second time I watched and I had to really look for it. I think some people are just more sensitive to camera changes idk?

Like I said, it's also worse at third, and probably depends on other factors like the TV and stuff, but yes, it's very terrible for me for some reason.

agreed. it makes me immediately take a wrong step n the wrong direction.

rtts 1st persdon/3rd person cam or whatever unplayable for me. not needed just want normal broadcast view the same as if i was pitching amd then fielding but obviously just balls hit to my locked player.

No, I am talking about ground balls and line drives specifically. The pop up issue is completely separate (and, is also annoying).

I can't be more clear; there is absolutely a shift in camera perspective as soon as any ball is hit, and I'm pretty sure it's the abrupt centering of the camera on the ball, from some position that's defined to get both pitcher and batter into the pre-pitch camera view.

It is very easy to see if you take a few seconds to look for it, and, if you're one of the people like me who for whatever reason cannot pick up the ball because of it, it's incredibly, nearly game-breakingly frustrating. If it doesn't bother you, good for you, but it only takes a couple of seconds to see it and acknowledge it's there.
