Seriously? You want a GUARANTEE that a game with a deplorable history of server-related issues has magically fixed those issues? C'mon, man. It will be BETTER, perhaps even REALLY GOOD compared to its past record, but no development team can ever guarantee perfect online capability.
More generally, as an "offline" Franchise player, I think the compensation is about what should have been expected. They weren't going to give away diamonds, they weren't going to give back money -- PLEASE, a partial refund?! -- and regular standard packs would have enraged people (they're garbage). This doesn't effect the market at all and everyone has 11K to spend how they like.
I criticized the team viciously for their non-apology on their last note to the community, so it was good to see an ACTUAL apology this time. I still think that communication throughout -- even a simple "We are working around the clock, we'll keep you posted" -- would have put out a lot of fires. When something is broken and those responsible go silent, that's never good.
And for the whole "time is money" debate, the guy was just using the phrase loosely, so the whole "prove how you would have made money instead" angle is kind of silly. Time isn't money, it's actually much more valuable: it's TIME, which, unlike money, can never be earned back again. The guy's general point was spot-on, even if the phrase he used wasn't literally correct.
