I personally don't like the concept of "perfect" shot, period, in the game. But if you're going to have that mechanic you probably do need a meter because you need to know the way to perfect it beyond just going off "feel" etc. to make it as fair as possible.

What fun is it in having a meter to tell you exactly when to release a shot? After some time with the game you develop a feel for when to release, that's what make it fun. Like in real life you practice to get the feel of your release.

i do not need a meter. ic ans core with anyone.. this game is not that hard guys. its just boring n needs more modes

Not for me. Still trying to get by Shaq and Iverson in the Vegas Final. They steal everything, they block everything, Shaq hits threes.

A lot of people that are saying it's not hard and boring and needs more modes haven't even finished all the tournaments - that duo is really tough and shots aren't that difficult but the dual moves like the lay up and alley oop are much harder than they should be. Sinking threes you don't need a meter IMHO but the other two feel very random at times

I hope they do add new ways to earn packs

SO they added the shot meter, but also made 3s more difficult. Meh, maybe it'll work out ok. I'm really tempted to pick this game up, does anyone know if they plan to update player jerseys this summer after the FA period?

Promising that they are already doing work to improve the game. Hopefully they continue the support. I feel like there is potential with this title filling that fun, arcade basketball void.

Yes.

PS4 version now has the shot meter and the other changes.

The shot meter stinks and shooting is actually a lot harder now.
