Updatd after v1.07 patch.
I don't know if any further tuning has been attempted in the most recent patch on how catchers handle wild pitches/passed balls, but the level of wild pitch frequency remains roughly a factor of 2 - 3 more than the MLB average. After the patch, I have gotten in about 70 CPU vs. CPU test games (140 games worth of per game per team stats), and I am still seeing WP/G of about 1.0 (compared to the MLB average of 0.37 in 2016). (The relevant slider setting is Pitcher Control 2 and Pitcher Consistency 5 for the test set... but all the other stats from test games are viewable in the spreadsheet at http://www.operationsports.com/forum...7-version.html).
From the stats, I cannot say the wild pitch issues have improved much since the game release. Again, at the moment, wild pitch is pretty much the only stats that are wildly off from the 2016 MLB averages. While I don't necessarily believe it is a game killer (as in HR frequency being off by a factor of 2 - 3 would certainly make people cry over how arcade-y the game has become), wild pitches in tight ball games often happen in very nuanced situations, it would be regrettable if they cannot be brought down to within a ballpark of realism.
The frequency of wild pitches has been pretty realistic in the past iteration of the game. |

A good news is that TSN bug reports are now searchable, so people don't have to (though they will anyways) keep filing duplicate bug reports which tend to dilute their effectiveness for bug hunting...
