EA NCAA Football Games no longer available on XBox Marketplace

This is probably of limited interest to anyone perusing this thread at this point, but I thought that it was curious that as of last week, you can no longer purchase this game digitally on Xbox Marketplace.

My biggest complaint about the judge was he ruled on what EA Sports can't do but didn't provide a legal path forward for them. It is a death sentence for making a video game. Is it still working its way through the court system or is it settled?

I think it's settled (for now), because I recently read the Supreme Court declined to hear the case.

Anyway, I just think it's interesting that all EA NCAA football games got taken down from the marketplace just recently. I assume some licensing agreement date expired or something to that effect? I sorta wish they would have given some warning, since I probably would have bought the most recent version electronically just to have it, since it's unclear if they'll ever be available again. I have little to no interest in paying a premium for a physical copy at this point.

Right now those games are delisted, but if you bought them from Games on Demand you should still be able to download them.

Settings > Account > Your Billing Options > Download History

Scroll down until you find the games and download them from the list. I am in the process of re-downloading the delisted Madden 25, and it seems to be going through, but I will follow up in the morning.

Yeah I've redownloaded things that have been off the market for years just fine multiple times.

One wonders whether they will ever be re-listed. I mean, had I known, I would have probably downloaded a copy just to have (since I doubt there will be another college football game in the forseeable future), but now it seems I'm frozen out, short of way over-paying for a used copy somewhere.

The worst part is there is probably some warehouse somewhere in New Mexico that has like 1000's of copies of the game somewhere that are just sitting there collecting dust. LOL.

that is the reason I don't get rid of my games. I used to sell the previous years ncaa game to get a few bucks to help pay for the new one. but then I wished I had the older ones so I have to buy them again. so I started just keeping them and not selling them even the games I don't play and will probably never play again.

And now the price for a used copy has gone up in the store selling for $44...and each year that passes it will get higher. I bought a copy last year for $17 and like a fool got rid of my 360 and games when I bought my PS4. It'll get to the point where the price will ultimately reach $80-100 like MVP Baseball 05 on the PC.
