I'm playing around with my starts as well. With similar results.

I started manually shifting off the gate...It seems to help.

I will try the not clutching thing as well...cant hurt.

I'm on a mission to get a hole shot today

I honestly think the clutch is broken. It seems to have little impact.

On the bright side I found this posted on steam from milestone....They are aware of my issue and have a workaround on PC...I will try it tomorrow after work on PS4....I have been skipping from practice to qualifying after I put a couple laps in.

Here's what they posted...For those who are experiencing a "race skipping" issue, where they cannot run the 2nd race in a full weekend and get directly to the next GP, here is a workaround while we work on a definitive fix.
During practice and qualification, please DO NOT skip the sessions. Instead, use the fast forward time option that you can find here, and get to the end.

I can confirm the workaround works on PS4 as well.

Just finished a full weekend race...both moto's and returned to the main career menu at the end of the race.

It's out pretty much everywhere in the world except for the US for over a week now.

You can import a copy from some online sites or ebay....no region lock on PS4.

Also if you have an account from another country other than the USA it's available for download.

Saw this posted on the steam Forums. Not sure if this is the same patch.

Hello, and first of all thanks for reporting and taking part in these first MXGP3 days.
A patch based on internal checking and community feedback has just gone live and here's the fixlist.

We will keep working on game optimization and known bug fixing. Have fun!

Incidentally I picked the game up for Xbox One, and I definitely like some of the changes. Glen Helen looks like it's running at 20 fps. This is after the patch by the way, so I don't know if it was even worse before. Have not been able to join an online game yet, so that kinda sucks...

Big fan of MXGP2 and bought MXGP3. Great game. The track degradation and particle effects make a huge difference.

Have to be real here though, the graphics are a massive step down. I read an article that described it as a almost a layer of Vaseline over the screen. I went back and played mxgp2 to compare and I have to agree 3 is pretty bad.

The good news is the games so good it's hard to care. Will be playing this a lot.

Ive only ever played this series 1st person so it is the view I'm comparing. But you are right on the fact that the game looks less ugly with that view.

Again though, I'm super enjoying the game.

I don't know about the clutch, I'm still getting slaughtered off the start when using the clutch. I get my best starts just hitting the gas as soon as the gate drops, Going to scan you tube for start video tutorials.

Re: MXGP 3 Announced, Arrives in the Spring Using Unreal Engine 4 - Teaser Trailer

I got back home last night and had some time to mess around with the game today.

I'm still having issues off the gate. I have been manually shifting and got 1 decent start about 6th place.

I noticed with the patch there is still an issue with full weekend mode in career mode....it no longer skips the second moto so that's nice...if you skip a session however it still will not award any skill points for the session that you skip...it does if you "fast forward" the timer. So that's still broken and I will continue using the workaround.

Graphically there are times the game looks real good...kind of depends on the track and weather conditions. Seems like it rains WAY too much and it doesn't look as good in that weather condition imo.

Now when it's just after a rain session or a dryer track I feel it looks pretty darn good.

I'm happy with the game....it's awesome...would like to see the clutch sorted out and the rev's drop a little...I think the 4 stroke sounds good when you can hear it...it just seems to be rapped out way too much of the time.

I need to finish a MXGP tile run and then it's max AI and 15 lap races.....this game has a ton of replay value for me.

I just had another issue with career mode.

The save corrupted after a blue screen error at the end of a race.

I downloaded a backup from the cloud and will see if I have a similar issue again.
