That's all I want with Madden. Fewer quirks. Improved animations. More depth to the franchise.

I could care less if the cleats match the gloves..(i know that is important to some.)

Put enough slickness on it to make me feel like I'm playing a real NFL game. Not an Arena football game or some glorified 7 on 7 drill.

Make the trenches matter.
Make the teams matter and differences in players.

Too often, you can't the difference between the 5th QB and the starter...

Ah well.
30 here (just to add to the age bracket polling)

See, I'm actually totally on the other side

The gap/faults in realism when it comes to approaching a SIM game is what I CAN understand; I have a good understanding and respect for how difficult it must be to create a game that properly represents/simulates NFL football, with all that entails.

And I won't go into details, but what I mean by that is that there are such high degrees of development, randomness and variance in football when it comes to strategy, technology, physical conditions etc etc etc... that regardless of how hard Madden tries, it will never come close to providing this experience on a console (without it feeling stale/outdated after a short while).

What I DON'T understand is the other side of spectrum, I don't understand how we're in 2017 and things like the correct socks or equipment are still an issue.

See, developing features requires resources, money, skill and development time. All of those are true for making the game more SIM which is a challenge, but all they need to make the "frosting" on Madden be better is to allocate a resource to it, just that.

Having correct uniforms or a wide set of customization options should be a given in this day and age. And I don't think anyone would make this a UNIFORMS VS. GAMEPLAY discussion, because the two are not exclusive; the issue is only one of those two presents clear challenges as to why it is difficult to implement...

Making the game PLAY better is a huge challenge, making the game LOOK better should be well within the realm of possibility for Madden in 2017; and I'm willing to go as far as saying that even those who say they don't care at all about uniforms or socks would "feel" the game plays better if all these things we properly implemented in Madden + the current state of how the game plays.
