PES 2018 Gameplay Video
Vapex Karma has posted some PES 2018 gameplay footage, featuring Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund. Check it out and post your thoughts. Vapex mentions the video is blurry because it is upscaled from a smaller resolution.

The gameplay is still way too frenetic and chaotic. The organization is all over the place. It just doesn't resemble an actual football match.Comment

Re: PES 2018 Gameplay Video
The game looks fantastic graphically and I agree ball physics looks really good. Shooting looks like it has been improved (Neymar goal 2:20, Messi 5:30) but I don't feel 100% confident about that (Suarez 3:02). I really don't like the ballet dancer dribbling (1:43) though, I hope it will not shows up to often.
Tactically, it looks like there is the same rigidity we have in PES17, with Barca wingers eating the side lines (I am guessing they have touch the side line Advanced tactic on). By the way, does someone told them that the 1st/2nd most famous player in the word, who is playing in their main partner team is not a winger?
In terms of players positioning, it also looks like a lot to PES2017, with the offensive line of the two teams completely disconnected from the rest of the team when their team is defending. May be full back attitude as been finally improved, as they seems to be pushing higher pitch when their team is attacking (radar on Neymar goal at 2:10 onward), instead of having one of them always staying with the center backs.
Based on this single video (worth what it worth) the game looks very good and promising but hardly revolutionary in terms of gameplay and in the way fundamentals have been addressed. I am still very impatient to have it in my hands and I really hope it will makes me eat my pessimist words.Comment

The wingers did not participate in defence. changing them into RMF/LMF may help but hope they did not retreated so sudden as they lose the ball when attacking deep in opposition halfComment

Re: PES 2018 Gameplay Video
I am trying not to look too much into this video due to it being a 2 player match. I would love to see someone play against the CPU but we won't see that until Gamescom. Like you stated there may be some advanced tactics on causing a lot of different things to occur but I agree the player position and tactically it does seem similar to Pes17. Of course we won't know for sure until we get some more teams to try.The game looks fantastic graphically and I agree ball physics looks really good. Decent info for what it's worth. Starting to get hyped for PC and dribbling this year.Comment

People keep complaining about nets, but when I watch real soccer games, most of them are exactly like they are in PES. They barely move nowadays.Comment

Can't wait till more footage comes in, and of course the beta. In the meantime, here is my E3 analysis on the gameplay. I love the improvements and am blown away with how much has changed from PES 17. They just need to remove the poor positioning code of PES 16 and PEs 17!
