This played out pretty realistically based on the over front the defense is presenting. This is a 2-back gap run - specifically a 2-back Counter Trey. FB takes play-side gap as he is suppose to but the integrity of the down block is disrupted by the 6i Technique. If he doesn't do his job, the flow defender would have eaten him alive anyway. The only thing I don't like is that the TE doesn't chip the 6i technique more before starting upfield to block Safety. This a really tough block to execute in real life though.

Some one should have told him that a strong outside zone or weak side run would've given his line better leverage against that front. We wanted real football, we got it.
