The article I read to learn specifics about real life ID the Mike is about ID'ing the "center" of your blocking focus. So, if it's the MLB, blocking is pretty much normal. If u see a DB blitzing on the right side, u might ID the Mike as the OLB to center the 'focus' of your blocking to the right. U don't actually ID the blitzing DB, himself. You're 'shifting the focus' of the blocking to center around the Mike.
So, I'm just curious whether they simplified it some, or if these tweets and tweet video, they're just quickly saying, "u ID the blitzer to pick him up." U know? Because, this will make a little difference. I believe they'll have a tutorial on it, so hopefully it explains this little variance.
