Yes it is a bummer but having the sideline being interactive is huge. A little more emersion. Rex has said that a lot of the presentation guys have been working on long shot. Expect presentation to get a HUGE upgrade next year like fifa seems to be getting this year. Stadiums and atmosphere look incredible in that game.
On the bright side, gameplay has the potential to be phenomenal this year. If everything works properly and animations look as good as they have in the leaks, I could see madden being the best EA sports title out there this year, in terms of
gameplay. It's a big IF, but it is possible.
