Madden NFL 18 Gameplay Videos From E3 (Off-Camera)

DonOver9000 has posted some Madden NFL 18 gameplay footage between the Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers, taken from the alpha version at E3. As always, these types of off-camera videos, do not do the game justice, but you can pick out a few things here and there.

Unfortunately, these types of videos will have to do, until the EA Sports Game Changers are allowed to post their direct feed videos. Those will obviously be of better quality and show much better gameplay. Until then, watch these, puke at all of the Hail Mary's, and post your thoughts.

It's hard to tell without actually playing the game but the players look like they have more weight to them. Like they actually have their cleats in the grass/turf rather than floating on it.

Second video though the players on the stick skills sucked I liked the field and grass stains on the jerseys

Okay ill be the first to say it

There is already a thread for this. What's the point in wasting space on this forum to single out 2 E3 videos. If any of us did this it's be closed and merged in minutes

Interesting that it seems only Carolina and Washington were the only teams available makes me wonder how far along the ea play build was. Liking the broadcast camera views on replays. Looked good.

I think I heard someone say that this build was 3 or 4 weeks old.

That was me.

Demo builds are generally a month old, yes. You have to create the demo off a stable build, so you have to decide in advance when you're going to branch off to build the demo, then it takes a couple weeks to build it.

I like the Center strafing around to pick up blocks and then pancaking a DT who was being blocked by another lineman. My question is, was it AI or usered?

Also, has anyone heard if we can control an OL when playing against the CPU and allow the AI to control the QB ? It would be nice to be the lead pulling guard; plus it would open up some really great moments of "The User" having the control in key situations.

Looks pretty similar to me so far. I hope it feels much better than last year.

Also, I don't know why they don't just tweak the menus and overlays a little bit each year. This was a subtle thing that was done for years in all sports games and it's gone away. Giving the surface of the game a little bit of a tweak is a very nice, and I would hope, simple way to give gamer's a feeling like their next $60 was warranted and not that you just updated rosters on last year's game. Just my opinion.
