Is 2k developing an every other year pattern??

It could be just me but it seems on the current gen consoles 2k is making a solid game every other year. This is what I mean 2k14 was mind blowing graphically and not bad gameplay wise, 2k15 took a big hit graphically compared to 2k14 and had plenty of issues with shooting percentage and patches that messed the game up. 2k16 took a nice leap gameplay and graphically compared to 2k15, now 2k17 took a hit graphically with the player bodies looking either to big or way to skinny and with all the many patches released for 2k17 alone we all know the story with the gameplay.

So with my thought on this will 2k18 be a solid overall game and if it is I wonder if this is a 2k strategy where they give the goods one year and take it back the next year, because at the least this game shouldn't be taking a hit in the graphics department so early in this console cycle.

It seem like every even number 2k is at its best so therefore I hope 2k18 has everything intact including the classics because according to those that has played 2k17 it was a disappointment. I would love to see era based filters for classics back in NBA 2k like how it is in wwe 2k.

I feel like era based filters will give NBA 2k an advantage in regard to immersion over their competition.

No. I certainly do not think so.

Nah I don't think it's like that. Although they implement stuff that are work in progress and will take a certain number of years to improve and perfect.

It's crazy that 2k14 was easily the most astonishingly greatest looking ball game they ever made and 3 years later it's still not as good and that was a launch game for PS4. Was probably rushed too. And to this day, the players faces still look better on the past gen consoles which is beyond comprehension why that would be .

i actually thought that 17's gfx were the one thing it did an amazing job of, on pc (stock) at least. the jersey shine and cyberfaces (even a lot of legends) were top notch. the body types could use some work.

Here is what I feel happened. 2k Art team had a falling out close to release. and **** a few things up before departure. Now in good old 2k fashion they will use the body/graphics update as a big selling feature. i think the word they like to use is authentic. They most likely have a new Art team.

They've gotten worse and worse in my opinion since we moved to next gen.

I started seeing the writing on the wall when I booted up 2k14 on my new PS4, and discovered shortly after that you had to pay VC to change your rotations.

Since then the whole game has revolved around VC and grinding. And it's gotten worse. Remember when we could equip animations and test them out as we pleased? Now you have to pay for it all. And animation prices have gotten higher and higher.
