Tons of guys have been fired, you just have to recreate a coach and assign him to the team again, from my understanding lol. I was lucky enough to go 4-8 my first season as HC (I think 3 of those were FCS opponents lol) and kept my job. Then went 9-5, and up from there.

Swarm blown out by #8 Ole Miss
Broderick Booth continues to struggle, completing just 20 of 51 passes --OJ McNair manages just 2.4 YPC

QB Booth throws the pick that ended WSU's only good drive of the game
Oxford, MS -- Another game, another blowout loss for the Westlake State Swarm, who fall to 0-3 after a 59-0 loss to Ole Miss in Oxford.
This game actually started off fairly well for the Swarm, who have now failed to score in 2 of 3 games. The defense stifled the Chad Kelly-led Rebels, who actually went 3 and out on their first 2 drives. The Swarm, punted once, but after forcing the second 3 and out, were driving down field, with some well-executed plays, when QB Broderick Booth tossed up a wobbly interception to OLB Demarquis Gates. This seemed to take the wind out of the defense's sails, as Ole Miss marched straight downfield and scored on a 23 yard run from Kelly.
It was all downhill from there for the Swarm, as Ole Miss would run up a 21-0 lead after 1 quarter, and lead 38-0 at the half. The Rebels defense was stifling, allowing just 3 first downs after the first quarter, and sacking Booth 8 times.
Westlake State goes back to Akron next week, to play Wyoming. (2-2, 0-1 MWC)Comment

How do you recreate a coach? Never seen the option. No sir! You can actually do it any point of the season if you so choose! How do you recreate a coach? Never seen the option. Is it in the coaching carousel in the offseason?

Go into "Coach Info" under Coach Central in the dynasty menu. Down at the bottom, it says hit R1 and you create a new coach and replace him as the HC/OC/DC at any school! Very nice when you're starting out from garbage like I am as well. I got fired at Penn A&T after my first year but just recreated the coaches.
NOW, the only real downside to this is, you lose all progress of your Skill Trees that your coach made. But it's nice if you have an agenda like myself and want to keep the same person as the HC.

Re: #SWARM: A Westlake State Dynasty
So Close!
Swarm lose 35-27 vs Wyoming -- Broderick Booth throws away ball to seal Swarm's fate -- Wyoming overcomes horrid game from star QB Allen
Akron, OH -- The Westlake State Swarm came back home to play Josh Allen led Wyoming. The Cowboys were 2-2 heading into the game, and Coach Banks was confident that his team could pull out their first ever win. And that looked like it could be true. The Swarm were up 17-7 at the half, behind a strong half from QB Broderick Booth, who finished with nearly 500 all purpose yards on the day. The defense hounded Allen, holding him to just 3 completions and 47 yards in the first half, picking off one pass.
But in the second half, it all went downhill for the Swarm. They went 3 and out twice, and on Wyomings second possession of the half, a gutsy fake punt from the 47 yard line resulted in a TD. From there, 2 rushing scores from Brian Hill and a miracle jumping throw to the endzone by Allen(who completed just 12/35 passes on the day) put the Cowboys up 35-17 with 6 minutes to go.

The fake punt that changed this game
But the Swarm weren't done yet. They drove down the field and kicked a field goal, then got a stop and Booth took a shot downfield to WR Tristan Little, who made the catch over his defender, then shook off a tackle to go 60 yards for the score to make it an 8 point game.
With 1:46 to go and all 3 timeouts, Banks showed confidence in his defense to get it done, and elected to not go for the onside kick. And it was a good decision, as the defense stuffed 2 runs, then forced an incompletion to force a punt.
Starting at their own 24 yard line, Booth and the offense drove down the field with a series of passes. With 25 seconds to go, the Swarm had a first down at the 8. The play was a simple triple option, that had been working all game. But Wyoming blitzed, and Booth appeared to panic, attempting to lateral the ball to HB OJ McNair who was getting tackled by another defender. Wyoming recovered, and game over.

Booth thows the ball away on the option

Re: #SWARM: A Westlake State Dynasty
After this week I'll do a mid season update. Everything y'all need to know will be there. Then it'll just be recaps until the end of the season. I'll probably be starting year 2 by Friday. That's when I'm gonna start really going in depth.

Swarm fall to 0-5 at the hands of Arkansas State
Nation-worst run defense gives up another 286 -- Fans calling for Broderick Booth to be benched

Red Wolves tailback Johnston White ran for 219 yards, including a whopping 132 in the first quarter
Jonesboro, AR -- Westlake State University football has been flat-out bad in it's inaugural season, and their last game, in Jonesboro playing against the Red Wolves, was no different. The 37-24 loss saw the Swarm fall to 0-5 on the year.
Broderick Booth had another bad game, throwing 3 picks and only completing 18 of 41 passes. He didn't get much help from running backs OJ McNair and Tyjuan Sparks, as they only managed 81 combined yards on 28 combined carries.
Once again, Westlake State showed a complete inability to stop the run. They're currently giving up 287 yards on the ground per game, ranking them dead last in the nation.
"I have nothing but confidence in Brody (Booth). He's our guy, and it's probably going to stay that way for the rest or the season. This man is a professional, giving his all for this team day in and day out, and I respect him too much to give these rumors any credence.", said Coach Banks when asked about whether there was any truth to the rumor that power forward turned QB Ayo Chandler would be starting next week.
The Swarm play the New Mexico State Aggies (1-5) in a battle of independents next week.Comment

Re: #SWARM: A Westlake State Dynasty
"These men should be ashamed of themselves!" Livid coach Banks rips Swarm for "garbage" effort
37 first half points for New Mexico State -- 300 yards given up on the ground -- 44-36 loss comes with several coveted recruits in attendance -- Broderick Booth benched after 2 first quarter picks
Akron, OH -- The Westlake State Swarm fall to 0-6, after their comeback effort fell short against New Mexico State yesterday.
The run defense was once again atrocious, giving up 300 yards. But that's not what had coach Davonnie Banks beside himself after the game. No, it was the 26 tackles broken by Aggie ballcarriers, and the 2 failed 4th and 1 conversions that led Banks to call his players "sorry excuses for D1 athletes", and tell us he's never been more disgusted in his life.

Quarterback Damion Gay is tackled for a loss on a 4th and goal from the 1. A touchdown here would have made it a 7 point game in the 3rd quarter.
"26. Two Six. 26 fu--ing broken tackles! Yes I counted! Do you even understand how ridiculously bad that is? Do you think we lose that game if they don't break 26 tackles? Not a chance! I was quiet when we gave up 49 to FSU. I was quiet when Ole Miss blanked us 59-0. I was even quiet when Brody threw the damn game away against Wyoming, hell I didn't even go off omn him when he threw the picks today. But there is absolutely no excuse to ever have a team break 26 tackles on you at the d1 level! The physical gap is never big enough. It's laziness.
Man, I know we're a first year team. I know. But we just lost to ******* New Mexico State. And they didn't even out-strategize us, or get lucky. No. They ran the football down our throats for 4 quarters. That is unacceptable. I've never been more disgusted in my life. These guys looked like sorry excuses for D1 athletes today."
The 0-6 Swarm will host Temple (3-3, 1-2 American) at InfoCision Stadium next week.Last edited by young22; 07-18-2017, 04:13 PM.Comment

The Westlake State Chronicle
Westlake State welcomes 3 star OLB Kingsley Spencer,
their first ever commit
By Mike Calhoun
Football beat reporter
Westlake, OH -- Despite the recent loss against New Mexico State, there was some good news and an important milestone for the struggling Swarm today, as 3 star OLB Kingsley Spencer announced that he will be playing his college football for the Swarm, becoming the first commit in program history.
Spencer measures in at 6'3, 215 pounds. He runs a 4.68 40 and benches 295 pounds. He's a run stopper almost exclusively, struggles in coverage according to Rivals.com, but he should be able to contribute from day 1 for the Swarm, who graduate 2 of their starting linebackers this year.Last edited by young22; 07-18-2017, 04:33 PM.Comment

Re: #SWARM: A Westlake State Dynasty
I was so pissed when I lost to them. I was cussing out loud every single time they broke a tackle. That mini rant from Banks was essentially my reaction.
But it's refreshing to lose. I haven't had a losing season since my first Madden.
