I saw a post from someone at another forum that said the NHL 18 looked much better on their Xbox One S than the PS4 Pro, that the colors popped more and it just looked better.
Of course, that's not frostbite, so we'll see. But I think Xbox versions of EA games always are bright and pop more.Comment

If your TV isn't HDR10 compatible, then you wont benefit from HDR Gaming. I would suggest research on your TV's prior to purchase of these systems so you can be sure it supports HDR10 or Dolby Vision. I would say both systems are going to be identical due to the fact the games are made with the lowest common denominator. Which is Xbox One and PS4. Hopefully we would be able to tell once they are released but we'll have to have a screen shot comparison. I always play EA Sports game on XBox. User input feels more responsive. 2K and of course The Show is where PS4 felt smoother.Comment

For the 4k experience I'm going with the PS4 pro. If the Xbox one x looks that much difference I might upgrade, but I doubt it would be worth the money . The PS4 pro will def handle 4k better than the Xbox one S. it's been stated that madden will be tweaked for the PS4 pro and Xbox one x.Comment

Xbox one X will look and play better. Night and day difference!(in the look) should play similar but frame rate will be more stable on Xbox 1X but frame rate never been an issue really with Madden.Comment

PS4 pro or Xbox one x for madden
Xbox One S on my 65" 4K Samsung.
I think a lot of people buying 4K tv's and Pro's or the Xbox One X for Madden are going to be sorely disappointed. As someone else stated, the game is made for the lowest common denominator - in this case the base model Xbox One - and then X1X will be "enhanced". Your mileage may vary, but I probably wouldn't upgrade until developers are actually making full 4K games on consoles that can actually run them without supersampling or checkerboarding; pretty steep price for upscaling or a texture pack. Console makers are focusing on 4K because it's a nice buzzword right now, when instead they should have focused on steady and consistent frame rates.
Then you have the camp who believe the human eye can't really see a difference between 1080p & 4K until your screen hits a certain size anyway...I dunno. I don't think I'll care about 4K gaming until the next generation actually comes, instead of this incremental hardware upgrade stage we're in now. Just my 2 cents.
Edit: In case anyone's wondering, I have a 1-S & a 4K tv for the 4K bluray capability. Now that looks nice.
