Where's my created player/Free agent pool?

I'm probably blind or stupid... but I just spent an hour making a player, chose the "save to free agent pool" option, and....

    now what?!

I can't figure out where I'm supposed to find free agents and them add them to rosters. Do I have to start a season and then pick my created player up?

Re: Where's my created player/Free agent pool?

So I found my player, but he's only available in the Free Agent pool when I create a season. I can add him to my team, but again, he's only on that team in that season's save file. It seems I needed to add him to free agent pool AND export him upon creation?

Importing, from what I can tell, seems to be the only way to add a player to the general roster (the one that will let you use a player in exhibition, homerun derby, etc)

Is there any way to export my player from the season?

It sucks that there is like zero documentation on the whole process...

When I created a player and sent him to the free agent pool, he was in the 3rd list of free agents. hope that helps.

How do you get to the free agent list without have to go through roster movement?

To use the player in non-season modes, from the main menu, go to Roster Control; select a team; go to Player Movement; then press R1 to change teams until you get to Free Agents 3. You then "trade" him from the Free Agents onto whatever team you'd like. You'll be replacing a player with him and releasing said other player into the Free Agents pool when you do this.

(playing MLB the show 16 on PS3) I have some players on roster A and want to export them. Can I IMPORT them into the FREE AGENT POOL on Roster B?
