Most of those jerseys do look like some cheap knockoff you'd see at a flea market.

Pirates and A's I think have the best of all though. Rays with the worst.

Pleased to know that Willson Contreras actually does go by "Willy." Because that's what I call him.

Interesting to see how player participation in this correlates with how intense/serious the player is (low sample size). Lester and La Stella are a pair of pretty hard driving dudes, so I'm not surprised. I am tempted to raise the clutch ratings for guys in MLB The Show for guys sticking with their true jerseys.

I actually like The Players Weekend uni's. I like when teams go away from traditional looks and do something different.

The Padres have a lifetime batting average of .250, without Tony Gwynn its .247.

                    Sabermetrics question.

Negative WAR means that a replacement level player would perform better than selected individual, based on performance. If this is the case, does it mean that WAR is scaled correctly? Currently, there are 20 players (17 hitters, 3 pitchers) that have a negative WAR that have qualifying stats.

This doesn't seem right? Surely there are far more players out there that are regulars that are below replacement level. Maybe I don't have the right definition of replacement level.

Replacement level means a AAAA guy, your guys like Daniel Nava, who is too good for AAA but not good enough to be an everyday starter.

You have to look at 0 as if that's the starting point for a MLB caliber player, and not as if it means 50th percentile.

                        In case that helps.

Miami Marlins have been sold to Derek Jeter's group for 1.2 Billion dollars pending approval. Jeter will run the business and baseball operations.

I don't think the MLB TV contract is as lucrative as the NBA or NFL TV deals.

Of course individual teams have very lucrative deals, like the Yankees and the Dodgers, Red Sox and a few others.

Hasn't the Marlins had trouble drawing? Do they have a big local TV deal?
