    How MyCareer AI works

This is something I know alot about. ive played about 3000 hours of mycareer. its pretty boring now but when 2k18 comes out ill have fun creating a player etc.

anyway, basically i know for a fact that games arent RNG like realistic basketball. you are rewarded for good playe by your character (scoring lots of points fight fg%, low turnovers, assissts bblah blah blah) and punished for playing bad. shots will be altered, the ai will play worse if you play good.

Im not saying this is bad, 2K wants you to be in control of winning and losing, its been pretty good but has gotten boring now. I wish 2K would make it RNG and if you lose you lose even if you play really well like realistic games. I think thats the direction they should take.

Rigging the AI is boring now 2K, predictable and doesnt make the game feel real. Please make the AI play to their accurate stats, make indivdual stars play like they play in real life eccetera.

    thanks

    RT.

Also please let players not playing PG be involved in plays.

I don't know why whenever i follow play art that I am never asked to screen or do anything off ball except stand in the corner and watch Justice ISO.

I don't wanna have to play hero ball to have fun in the teams offence, its a bit ridiculous how dependent they are on your input to win games.

Ever since 2K11, 2K's felt the need to make your teammates super bad for some reason. I...suppose that most people playing MyCareer probably like putting up statlines like 50/15/15 a night...I guess? I dunno, I personally prefer being able to exist within a team without having to do everything every single game, which would imply that my temmates can make open shots at a reasonable rate and also defend like they aren't brain-dead.

Make MyCareer teammate AI great again.

        Re: How MyCareer AI works

I agree wholeheartedly that in order to sell this concept of your player being the GOAT they've somewhat nerfed the CPU, both opponents & teammates. Sometimes I want to just be a part of the team. I don't want to have to play hero ball to win a game. I don't want to average 35 PPG because the other superstar on my team doesn't even shoot the ball. If you check my thread on MyCareer speculations, a few guys covered this aspect in there.

I've seen games where this works, but it's way too rare. If you watch Smoove, you know he yearly goes on huge win streaks in the mode (I believe he broke the Warriors win record this year) but sometimes he'll lose even when having a monster game. It just doesn't happen enough for me IMO.

          Re: How MyCareer AI works

Really all they need to bring back is Roster Edits and Sliders for MyCareer and problem solved. I lose interest in MyCareer for reasons stated in above posts.

Although I made it a point to do as little as possible to see if I could win, and I scored 0 points/3 assists/4 rebounds and managed a victory once lol.

Not on HOF though because that's not at all how I feel the game is meant to be played (sliders nerfed for user, supped up for CPU, play-as-fast-as-possible-first-good look-take-it etc.).

Again, give us roster editor and sliders for MyCareer and we're good to go.
