Howdy coach mode faithful. I know the game isn't out until Friday but I'm creating the annual coach mode discussion thread to talk the latest iteration of EA's NFL football offering. I know I'd previously stated in other areas of the forums that my sports gaming desire has gone the way but I'm weak and I'm pretty sure discussions in this thread will push me to purchase Madden 18.

So, coach moders, what do you think of the latest Madden installment?

Yeah, I’m pretty sure at some point prior to Friday I’ll end up purchasing the digital copy. If the download begins at midnight it should be ready by the time I get home from work. Lol

Another coach mode player here. Tested out Josh's Sliders right now with things at default all pro 9 min quarters. Seeing how the AI is and then number of plays and stats. Playing CFM offline with the Browns.

In coach mode is there a way to play in broadcast cam where I can call the plays on offense and defense for my team and watch the CPU execute it?

I'm not sure where to set it up?

I think they fixed the issue when you control all 32 teams and it would show your username for every team on the bottom ticker. That was really annoying last year

Coach mode works differently on defense this year. If you’re on defense make sure you move the control to the defensive line. If you use anyone else they won’t move.

What part didn’t you get? Make sure you’re controller is on a DLinemen.

last year someone had a theory that if in coach mode. your cirlce was around a dlineman then their bsh/pr stuff didnt fire as often so i always put in on the fs

the obvious question, why should it matter if youre in coach mode !

I can confirm. I'm on like game 4 of week 1 in a 32 team franchise. It says the team name "Chicago" etc

Also I'm having good results with Pro - Simulation and default sliders. 9 mins, no acc clock.

Only thing I would tweak is injuries, especially in cfm. Turn them down by like half
