Sliders don't work???

I'm not the greatest madden player ....so I adjust sliders and so far I've done a buncha different ways and nothing changes.

I've put cmp sliders on 0 for most things and the cmp still runs ball for 8 yards a carry and my defense is on 100 for pass coverage and run and every pass is completed with 0 catch and 25 accuracy?

I was looking forward to 18 but may just go back to 17... I even put the sliders I had for 17 into 18 and can't do nothing oline can't run block or pass protect.

I don't have the game yet, but instantly saw this post and am hoping others offer what they are seeing regarding this. I wan't to know if sliders are broke again this year and if robo qb is back as well.

The fatigue slider, at least, definitely works. I saw HB's get cycled out and various other players dip into the yellow with it on 60, whereas on the default 50 only the HB's even went to yellow and they never got low enough to sub.

Haven't messed with any others yet. Don't plan to until I see a reason to.

PLEASE don't jump to conclusions on this stuff based on very small sample sizes.

Raising the fatigue slider works this year, but I'm worried it will lead to the 4th quarter disappearing player glitch again.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess they didn't fix that again this year.

I haven't made any adjustments to auto subs etc just the game sliders and I've played a few games since yesterday and no matter what I have them set at like I said the cmp.. Just keeps going at 0's the cmp..should be as dumb as box of rocks....but they still complete all passes and can't be stopped running.

So not sure what to do these are just play now games haven't tested any in com yet.

I was playing against rams and Goff was playing like Brady and my dline couldn't even get close him.

Sliders have been completely hit or miss for years now.

Keep your auto subs at 60/80 and you should be fine.

this is a gamekiller for me if sliders are broken.....

Did anyone with EA access play around with sliders????

The reason I ask because maybe its tied to the day 1 version of the game

They work on my end...

I watched a game on All-Madden and neither team could get the run-game going, so I raised the CPU's run-blocking slider to 75 at halftime and both teams were able to run the ball in the 2nd-half.

I also watched a second game with the slider still at 75 and the holes were wide-open all game...the slider change was so effective I might have to scale it back a bit.

...so yea, the sliders are working.

you should not have to make drastic changes like that, you should be dropping down in difficulty instead.

I started on all-pro....I dropped to pro and still saw same results the cmp could run and pass all over me but yet I couldn't get run game or passing going and pass rush was non factor on my side they had all day to pass.

In previous versions if I adjusted them...I could at least have competive games this yr looks like I'm a pee wee team trying play against nfl team.

I can 100% tell you some of the ones I've been working with make a difference. I'll let others argue about whether they make a difference *how* they want it to, but absolutely they matter.

I just posted this in the impressions thread... But they definitely work!

As 2 recent posts have stated with penalty sliders and upping man coverage to 52 it seems EA spread the sliders out this year which is great! Small adjustments you can see a big difference. Although some still need bigger tweaks from testing like CPU accuracy... But still welcome addition spreading them out... I put man coverage and reaction at 55 and was like whoa on a few passes where M. Butler broke on a comeback route and almost picked it. 53-52 seemed like a sweet spot for realistic coverage in limited time for me... But big difference from 50-53.

Guess imma have to keep testing then because with some set low the cmp shouldn't be able to hit broad side of barn let along catch every pass etc.

Testing a game now I'm up 14-7 against ravens in play now game.
