Question about Play the Moment in CFM--do I always have the ability to cancel the sim and jump into the game at any given point?

For example, let's say I score a touchdown and the sim starts...can I, if I wanted to, have the game just sim the extra point or the kickoff and me jump back into the game to control the defense on first down?
