Not a thing I could do to stop it, it's just one of those situations that would never happen in a real MMA fight so maybe an unrealistic counter to it is needed such as a "cooldown" or something along those lines.

I take it you never watched Ryan Hall vs Gray Maynard?
Also dude... you have no room to complain with your goofy Straight Right -> Lead Body Kick spam....PSN: Lord__Hazanko

Re: The imanari roll is just plain annoying
The imanari roll isn't the same thing as the combos and that was a weak comparison. You're right about the Maynard fight however, I hadn't seen it but even that wasn't nearly as obnoxious as what that guy was doing.
If I stayed on the ground there was a chance that he would catch me in a leglock or armbar and as I don't have good sub defense i'd rather not take that risk.Last edited by Kyle1998; 09-09-2017, 07:44 AM.Comment

Re: The imanari roll is just plain annoying
Yea I don't mind the move but I call bull**** on its use at times. People have been using it when rocked to avoid a possible finish. When I've rocked certain individuals, even if I'm not near, they use the roll to get on the ground. I have the roll applied also but never would I do that. I'd say it's similar to any glitch but I do admit it's a bit different

Re: The imanari roll is just plain annoying
Why not just deny it and get free mount? If you are that worried about being on the ground in the most dominant position in the game, than you can stand up from there I guess. I would love free mount.Last edited by Evil97; 09-09-2017, 01:25 PM.Comment

Re: The imanari roll is just plain annoying
Because it depends when you deny it, if you watch the video most of the time my guy just moved his leg out of the way. On top of that, the one time I did get to top mount in the video my stamina was about equal with his so I needed to wait for me to recover and by that time he had recovered aswell.Comment

Re: The imanari roll is just plain annoying
The only time you got to mount in that video was after you escaped the sub. I'm talking about denying the actual roll itself. It's the same as denying a takedown. The window to deny is huge. From that video, I can't tell if you are just not denying, or just totally messed it up. You could have stood right in front of him and denied that roll and got mount every time.Comment

Re: The imanari roll is just plain annoying
I was denying, that's why my character moved his leg out of the way everytime. I have 92 TDD so maybe that's why he denied like that. I obviously don't want to take the risk and deny later just to get to full mount if that is indeed how you do it as then there's a risk I leave it too late and he gets me in the sub.Comment

Re: The imanari roll is just plain annoying
Had a great title fight with some guy last month and there was no doubt I was winning with around 30 seconds left in the fifth round and he totally caught me off guard with the Roll and got the sub! That is the way a good player will use any move of that type by not showing it at all until late in a fight and I have no issue with it and we even messaged back and forth as I commended him on totally catching me by surprise. A large majority of players come out of the shoot using it or a Tornado kick-ect and if you have enough skill in the game you shouldn't get caught with any move like that as you see it coming from a mile away. It is good to have 1 desperation move (I favor a Showtime kick or Cage Punch) and both have bailed me out or changed the course of a fight when used at the right time. At this late stage of the game nobody should be shocked by anything as we have seen it all! My favorite lead kick has always been the Sliding head kick but if you want to talk about annoying! Nothing is worse than the thousands who just spam it over and over that I actually have been using a lead Front kick because guys have turned it in to a clown move.Comment
