Well after a couple days of grinding I have finally managed to acquire every gallery member for every rank The sound from shuffling the gallery will be stuck in my head on loop for a couple days now... I will post a picture of the 'reward' you get at the bottom of this post for anyone interested (Be warned though, the one with the picture contains spoilers for a Secret VS Character)

You receive a Golf Kart that looks like a Sports car. I am 99% certain it goes much faster than the normal Kart

Hey guys, just found out about this game - what modes are available online that are also playable with friends?

I'm assuming a friend and I could set up a private match, but can we also join the same online room and see others roaming?

Hey guys, just found out about this game - what modes are available online that are also playable with friends?

I'm assuming a friend and I could set up a private match, but can we also join the same online room and see others roaming?

Two teams, red or blue, computer assigns you to one randomly and then when the gun goes off you run around from hole to hole in 10 minutes and shoot as fast as you can. whichever team has the highest score wins after the timer ends.. It helps to have a golf cart but you can also warp three times from one hole to another.

As a huge veteran of Hot Shots 3 & 4, I'm pretty let down by the putting. The backdoor stat should *absolutely not be a thing*. I have recordings of putts going definite wide of the hole and yet they drop in. So lame.

Another irritating thing is on really short putts, having to do the three clicks for a full swing, on a putt thats like a foot, is pretty unnecessary.

Caddies are a huge let down compared to past games, and character creation is not really that great either. Courses are beautiful, and the rest of the gameplay seems pretty on point.

How you leveling up spin so much? It's one stat I cant seem to get.

I really love this game.
I never knew golf was so popular in Japan. When I go to an online course it is usually at least 90% Japanese players on it, which I find really cool.
The only complaint I would have so far is that chip in's are way to easy to hole out.

yeah- you are right about chip ins. I often try and get on the fringe in this game. They should make it that if you dont exactly hit the meter 100% correctly the ball goes way off on chip ins

Question-

In Multiplayer mode- how do you unlock other courses? Was playing with a buddy and stuck to only play the first course??? CONFUSED?

Played an open course last night, and the lag was almost unbearable. There didn't seem to be that many people on the course, but it sure was slow.

It seems to be random sometimes in all honesty. When I unlocked the "Ultra Backspin" I started leveling it up like crazy. That's the one where you have to press down at the same time as you hit X, don't remember what Rank you unlock it on though...

Yeah the fringe is amazing for leveling up the Backdoor on all your clubs. I have everything up to my 7I maxed out now. Another small tip for people is that even during Tornado or Mega Cup tournaments you will level up your Backdoor ability with chip ins, so make sure you're switching between all your wedges and irons when you're in close!

You have to play the Offline part of the game to unlock the other courses. Every time you rank up (by defeating the 3 VS Characters in that Rank) you generally unlock a new course.

I have been having this problem too unfortunately. Last night I was fine in a room of ~20 but whenever I am put in a room with 30+ everything grinds to a halt... Can take up to 20 minutes to finish a 9-Hole Round sometimes.

Its a damn good game of golf with absolute infuriatingly, unnecessary, random ball placement due to pointless random hits off the heel and toe of every damn club in any random situation.

I have yet to blame the game for any instance of any shot. Everything I fudge up is on me, in my book. Perfect impact doesn't always go where I aim for, but that's just the nature of golf and I kind of like that about it.

The only exception to this is when I am putting uphill and even a maximized putt won't make it to the hole, because the game didn't pre-select the power putt for me therefore I trusted it.

Try using the square button when putting uphill,it increases the distance of the putter.

see i didnt know that.
the only thing i dont like about this game is the manual. It sucks. It doesnt tell you anything about back spin or anything like that

The characters in your home screen generally tell you all the tips and tricks of the game. That's how I learned how to do spin and power shots

I know that. I don't like that they don't adjust that for me beforehand, kind of telling me "If you don't do this, you won't reach it." It does it on very far putts, but not barely out-of-reach ones.
