I have no problem with it, it goes to what's important to your playstyle, simple. Dudes are mad cause they wanna do all types of stuff and have a broken, cheesy game like 15.Comment

Re: U guys need check this out
I don't think this sounds that bad. If I'm reading correctly, it's not bad at all.
From what I'm understanding is that attributes are initially capped based on archetype. After a certain point in the progression, you can break past the attribute caps, but it only enhances attributes that your specific archetype is based on.
I think it's to prevent crazy archetype combinations, because without this system in place, you could basically become a Triple-archetype player. Imagine a 7'2 C, post-scoring/stretch player breaking cap and increasing his ball handling to an 86 or whatever speed boosting level is this year. If you played MyTeam last year and remember that Diamond KP dropping then you know how much of a nightmare that sounds like.
Instead of that this system makes it so that same 7'2 C, post-scoring/stretch player breaking cap, means he can just become a better shooter or better post player.Comment

Why is flexibility a bad thing?
Not everybody lives the cheese life you think they do...Comment

Re: U guys need check this out
I'm agreeing with 2K's idea for once. Your archetype is your choice in where you specialize. Therefore, you stick with it. You can't expect to be an all-rounder (which admittedly is what all the real NBA superstars can be).
This is the intersection between 2K wanting to become truly competitive vs just certain players being do-it-all singlehandedly on the court.
If 2K wants to diversify the archetypes, they're gonna have to limit. Therefore, 2K isn't completely wrong. People are misinterpreting and misunderstanding the direction 2K is going.Comment

Re: U guys need check this out
This issue is already being discussed in the other attributes thread. I don't think we need to reduce every issue to "U mad bro?" People are aware of the hard and soft attribute caps, so why even suggest they want what you say?
I don't think being able to choose what attributes we upgrade over others within the scope of our archetypes is the equivalent of "dudes want a broken game".Comment

Re: U guys need check this out
Sounds like you don't understand how the attribute system works. You canno't break the hard cap for the exact reason that you are afraid of. You can break the soft cap but this thread says that you wont be able to choose which soft cap you are breaking and instead 2k will choose for you.I don't think this sounds that bad. If I'm reading correctly, it's not bad at all.

For example, a pure sharpshooter won't be able to get his dunking to 80 because the hard cap is set at about 70 or something like that meanwhile the soft cap is like 60.Comment

Re: U guys need check this out
I think we need an actual breakdown of this as opposed to a 8 minute rant for likes, not necessarily for information in detail.
There need to be caps. 2k chooses your attributes for you? What effects what? What does 2k chooooose for you specifically and in what way (will watch full video tomorrow when I have time if no further details come out.)?Comment
