2K18 - Unable to join Team Pro Am arena (Region Lock?)

I am from Canada east coast and my teammates are all from US east coast. We can play at the park and walk on. But I just can't join the team arena at all. We tried the count down and go in the same time. We tried in different timing. Nothing works. My teammates can go in the same arena but me. It only puts me into different zone or dimension. It makes me wonder is it the same region lock issue we had in the first couple weeks 2K17 came out last year.

Anyone have the same issue? If anyone from 2K see this thread, please address this issue.

    Thanks a lot.

Just read that someone else is having that problem in Europe so you're not alone.

We are having the same problem in the US. 3 friends on the east coast and two of us on the west. It splits us into two my courts. It's really frustrating we are stuck playing walk on as a group. We have tried everything

Yes, it's that same stupid *** time zone lock. Keep tweeting 2k and get on them. I feel like pro am is never a priority to them.

I'm in Germany and I have friends in the Midwest and Texas CST. Not having issues with playing ProAm with them. I have my X1 set to US CST and not Europe, not sure if that corrected the issue.

Yup, got a friend who can't play with us ranked because of the lock. West coast/east coast.

When I accepted an invite I kept going to a different server. When I tried to "join" friends from PS4 menu, it gives me an error code. It just sucks that I have to go all through this just to play with people I know.

UPDATE: I will try the VPN route today. If I can connect to my friends, then it means it's IP based if not then it confirms my 1st theory.

Hey man did you buy NBA 2K18 using your US account?
Bought mine at German Gamestop. The box is even in German. Because my settings are US I didn't have to change any settings in the game itself for the writing to be in English.

In the Neighborhood we can join each others lobby without issue. Squading up takes a couple requests.

It's definitely some lock on east and west coast in us. So I can play playground with my friends on east coast and we can do walk on pro am if we all squad up and go in together. But if we try to enter out my court for our actual pro am team we get split on two servers. 2k needs to get their **** together. Figured they'd invest in their severed considering what kind of revenue they've brought in last few years

I just changed my time zone on ps4 to est from pst and walked in as a squad with my New York guys....same ****. Separates me and east coasters again. This is insane.

We have not created a ProAm team and tried that yet. We have joined each other's Neighborhood lobby and squaded up and played quite a few ProAm Walk On games. Maybe it's something with ProAm Team Up.

One thing I need to emphasize is I can play walk on and park with my east coast friends if we are in the same neighborhood. I just can't join team pro am arena at all.

I really don't know why 2K set the region lock to prevent the gameplay from different region.. They had learned the lesson last year.. I really don't understand.. smh

There goes my plan down the drain of playing with my friends from the US in a ProAm team, Im from the Netherlands so i gues i cant play with them now on the same team which simply blows. I hope this gets fixed guys
