I would give Live 18 an 8.

Which for me, is high considering.

If there was more franchise depth, player editing, a few less canned animation then it would be in the 8.5 to 9 range.

A 6.5 to me is ridiculous though.

Considering how much is missing from the game, a sports game in 2017 from a giant company, 6.5 is fair. I give the game a 6 out of 10 myself.

In terms of enjoyment it's an easy 8, closer to 8.5. Even though i'd like more modes to be added to Live (Live Devs clearly focused on gameplay as it was the main issue and creating a story via The One), that score only drops to 7.5

I'll be surprised if The One doesn't expand throughout the year. I base it off how they claim it will be fleshed out during the season

With all that said, Live 19 needs to add to its current mode and to NOT drastically alter the current mechanics. They've got it right

The score is not surprising. It's easy for media to see the name and have a preconceived idea about what to expect.

And sadly this proves true when you read about the misinformation on player contact and momentum. I've also yet to see problems with those supposed long twos either.

They (rightly so) mention how bad the commentary is in relation to the presentation yet completely fail to mention the great stadium atmosphere and the whole look and feel of a real game and players being alive.

Very disappointing content in the review.

I rated it a 7.0 just for the fact there's room for improvement and things or missing live is my go to basketball game, the game is beautiful and it plays how I want it to play. But everyone as there own opinion but I wasn't expecting any rating below a 7. But it's IGN and those guys don't really cover sports titles so I'm pretty sure they didn't dig deep enough to see the improvements and how the game really feels and plays. Ehh

Score is fair....in 2017, you simply can't release a barebones game and expect more than a 6/10.

So many things appear to have not been worked on 'at all'..franchise mode, commentary etc have not even been touched.

After a two year break, at the very least, I expected them to at least bother to update the commentary.

The game will keep on getting 6/10 scores forever until the LIVE team actually release a game with all modes given attention. Not one, with everything else cut and pasted.

Honestly I'm okay with 6.5. The A.I in the game could really use some work. If the CPU would have more variety as to how to approach offense I'd probably give it an 8. I'm actually pretty happy with the game modes it provides. All I really need is a franchise mode. Just waiting for EA to update those rosters before I start

6.5 is fair, game is ok, but needs some work if it wants to get out of the 1st round. With basic roster editing, it would go up to 7.5 to me.

Gameplay alone is an 8 for me. But I agree with this post. I think the overall score is fair considering all the factors.
