Confirmed with few guys on other forums same issue. Update didn't fix anything averaging 20-30% dunks wide open lanes.

last year slashers were hit hard with a badge glitch causing layups to miss forgot which specific you think its similar this year with posterizer badge? Mine is only bronze but maybe it's causing this?

Either way I really hope this is fixed a lot of us have put money into vc to get our slashers upgraded to dunk but seems like we can't even do that and attributes at this point are not reflecting on what they claim to be.

I think 15 pages deep in this thread it is pretty reasonable to assume this is a 2K issue, and not a user operator issue. Brad

.....5 days into release. I have a 6'4 Slasher Primary/Ball handler secondary. Dunk on anything that moves. I see a Development guy saying it was Tuned. Pretty reasonable to assume it's operator error.

You got guys with 74 driving dunk talking like they should dunk every open lane. I'm willing to bet, in video context, it's something they are doing wrong. I see it every game. Kids are out here playing like it's 2k17, then complaining.

I'm sorry, but all the guys that couldn't tell they'd have poor attributes from the creation screen have either never played an RPG or 2k before. I didn't need numerical value to figure out what I could do. I saw 14 Max in midrange: "Oh, he can hit a mid more than likely", 9 in 3 "That's better than last year, but I'm not pulling like crazy".

I'm sorry, but all this hand holding needs to stop. It can go right a long with the kids on YouTube homogenizing 2k, and the guys who want 99 in everything.

I'm postering kids in traffic. I also went MAIN SLASHER, not secondary. Think about that.

I understand this was not working. But even fixed you won't dunk every time. And I feel like it's more than anyone us admitting.

So sick of 2K hyper-patching everything. I thought they were going to be conservative this year? I just don't trust the arcade fanbase portion of feedback anymore. A lot of times it really IS user error. On a massive scale.

Like cmon, 2K just spent months and months tweaking gameplay. And it takes 1 day after official release to get a gameplay patch? That sounds rushed and hyper-reactive.

Good for you. You must just be the greatest 2K player in history. All other players clearly are not on your level of hitting square or rstick. My guy is 88 overall with 15 dunks equipped. It is amazing somehow I can figure out how to dunk properly in mycourt, but it just does not work properly in other modes. I was a L2 in 2k15, and L3 in 2k16, and L2 in 2K17. I know how to play the game. Just because you are not having an issue does not mean it doesn't exist for others. The issue exists. I am guessing the vast majority of the people in this thread are not noobs who have never played 2K before. Next time maybe try not to be so condescending. Brad

If 2k didn't want us to dunk they. Could've just kept people from using VC maxing out their dunk for no reason. I would really hope they didn't purposely allow people to pay almost 30k in VC ($10) just to find out you're only gonna be allowed to layup. You really don't believe theyre that evil do you? First and Foremost: the post I was replying to started with condescension. So please don't throw that at me. It ducks when someone else talks down to you, huh?

Second: No one cares that you were a legend in any of those games. That ranking is not associated with Skill, it's associated with playtime. Most Legends are associated with being cheeseballs. Funny that most of the people having trouble adjusting this year were huge cheeseballs the last few years.

Third: I am not, by any means, the best. I'm above average by a lot of standards. That's why I see people who are "Amazing players" complaining because of the archetype set up and wonder how they couldn't see what I see? They're better after all.

I see a mix of "can dunk" vs. "Can't" after the update in these threads(including reddit in this). It's entirely possible it was placebo. Or its possible those archetypes aren't supposed to be crazy dunkers and the players are expecting too much out of something that's not there.

I'm with you on dunks. You got a rating in it, you should be able to throw it down. But not nearly as well at 75 driving dunk vs. 88-90. That's the thing I think kids are missing. Have a nice day, Brad.

I am not looking to even dunk on people. I would like my guy to dunk when appropriate. When I have a wide open lane, hold turbo, he should be dunking.

I mean I can be open by 25 feet and get a layup. It is very frustrating in park or proam when you make a good cut, get the pass at the right time, and get stuck with some terrible layup animation for no reason.

I can burn my defender baseline, go for the uncontested reverse dunk, but instead get a garbage layup attempt.

I'm averaging around 2 contact dunks a game, still go up with layups at the worst time but I'm hoping unlocking posterizer will help with that.
