OBG's NHL 18 Supersim Sliders (low passing percentages guaranteed)

    Ok guys...

With this set the CPU and Human end up with passing percentages in the high 50s and low 60s.

NOTE: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT CHECK PASSING PERCENTAGES JUST A FEW MINUTES INTO THE GAME BUT ALLOW FATIGUE TO SET IN AND THATS WHEN YOULL SEE THE NUMBERS BEGIN TO PAN OUT!!!!

Ive had teams pass at 90 percent for the first few minutes of the game and end up at 70 percent by the end of the 1st period, 65 midway through the 2nd, and be around 60 at the end of the game.

Hopefully Ive been clear on that.

Additionally, dont sit back and watch the CPU pass the puck around waiting for them to make bad passes. Lower pass percentages come after fatigue has set in and combined with good defense. Give them time and space and youll be burned.

Below I will post the sliders AND a couple gameplay montages so that you can see highlights WHICH INCLUDE GAME STATS

Re: OBG's NHL 18 Supersim Sliders (low passing percentages guaranteed)

    Additionally...

There are some slider values you wont be accustomed to seeing at the point they are at. Just try them.

Ratings sliders are heavily boosted to increase player separation. Slap shot power increase has allowed point shots to have a very realistic chance of finding the net just often enough to make them a threat with the right shooters. This has NOT caused an increase of slap shot goals by forwards, if youre wondering.

Just punch them in and give them a few games. Gameplay is skilled yet sloppy as the above linked videos show.

Once again, sorry for the method. Dont shoot me. Lol

    Enjoy.

Here is gameclips from my official opening night in Pittsburgh. Im satisfied but thinking of upping period length from 8 to 9. Gonna wait a bit on that.

It's nice to see the passing % low. It seems that is affected by the pass reception rating. Are you seeing proper player separation?

Some of the ones that seem odd you indicate that yes, that is the value, but for CPU Fatigue Effect, you don't at '8'. Is it supposed to be '8' or a typo of '80'?

Maybe a dumb question. Are these superstar/full sim settings to start with before changing the sliders and moving to custom? Looking forward to trying them out, thanks!

All Star full sim which yes, turns into custom.

Im having more fun than Ive ever had with any hockey game with these. Ill be leaving the period length at 8. Ive had games where the shots are in the low 20s and a game where both teams were at 41-36. The goaltenders in this game are probably the best theyve been in the series. You can score all kinds of goals, but both cpu and hum goalies usually are around .920. You will see bad games, but its a fair balance at scoring.

Totally enjoying this now. Play about 5 games and youll see...just really addicting.

                          Gameplay looked fine.

Just one thing that I find is appalling is that 2 times in the video the CPU stands still and tries to find someone to pass to instead of just dumping it in. I guess that it has nothing to do with sliders but with how its programmed. But it looks real stupid and unrealistic.

Cool. There is ALWAYS going to be something stupid. ALWAYS. But Ive played pretty much every hockey game ever made, and this is the pinnacle of enjoyment.

Ive learned to enjoy things for what they are. In this age of modern technology, its an artform to just simply enjoy it for what it is.

The issue I ran I've run into is that no matter what team you play, they will have a bad passing %. This bad passing % can lead to smaller shot totals and less goals. This is great when you're playing a bad team.

However, what I usually do to test that sliders work for me is I play against Team Japan. Using these sliders, and playing as Chicago, I dominated Team Japan. I won 4-0 (low score I know). But their pass % was around 20% and they only had about 4 shots to my 47. Awesome...that's how it should be.

But, if you reverse the team control, this is where I find the issue. Playing as Team Japan, I didn't have a great pass %, but it was better. Also, due to the CPU having a low ratings for passing, Chicago had the hardest time scoring against me and putting shots on the board. I was hoping that due to the ratings of Team Japan, I would get demolished, but that isn't happening as it should.
