Is there a reason 2k can't save controller settings?
I play on absolute controls, but the game will randomly switch it to camera relative all the time for whatever reason. It did this last year as well. I don't think I've seen anyone mention it on here, but it's annoying and deserves to be addressed.

Once you set your settings try not to let your game going into demo mode that might help.

Re: Is there a reason 2k can't save controller settings.
Thats odd this hasnt happened to me with NBA2k18, but I did have this happen a time or 2 in the past, it was like a freak thing, it happened once then after that it never happened again.
Coach might be onto something, maybe letting it set idle to where it goes to demo mode may be the culprit.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

are you doing it within main menu or within a game? If it's within a game ,it's only temporary...Comment

Re: Is there a reason 2k can't save controller settings?
It also doesn't always save your player lock. I have a Mavs MyLeague, where I player lock DSJ, but about every 3rd game, it turns the player lock back off. I have to quit out of the game, change it, and then load the game up, if I forget to check before hand. In the actual game, you can only player lock a position, and not a player, unless I've overlooked that option.Comment

Re: Is there a reason 2k can't save controller settings?
This problem is there since 2k15 so i dont think it will be patched soon. I dont understand why because it is really annoying af. My bro is into programing and coding and he says it cannot be that difficult to fix...
This year its even worse i have to change it every single time i start the game. In past 2k's it happened randomly from time to timeComment

Re: Is there a reason 2k can't save controller settings?
Bruh. This has been going on for more than just last year and this year. I've been setting my controls to absolute since they've been introduced and it ALWAYS some how goes back to relative and it's extremely frustrating and annoying when I'm trying to crossover, do floaters or reverse only to have my player do the wrong thing because my input is wrong.
And the whole demo mode thing does not help. Whenever I turn my game on I go straight to the park/my career and it still does it.Comment

Re: Is there a reason 2k can't save controller settings?
Sorry Coach, but the demo thing is not the issue, I've been dealing w this 3 years now, I play Pro Am daily w the OP and we've been discussing this issue ad nausem. 2k17 didn't seem to be as bad, but 2K18 is probably the worst it's been since it's was introduced.
Main menu, within each individual game mode, it doesn't matter how or where I set it, it reverts back to camera relative and default pass target profile. Every time. And since I've only gone into demo mode once in the 2 weeks the game has been out, I'm certain that's not what does it.
Obviously this issue isn't top priority, but it's something that affects gameplay negatively for those who utilize it, so if ANYONE has any suggestions on how to rectify this, it'd be greatly appreciated.Always looking for solid CF25 Dynasty owners, follow the link to get started >> PS5 P5 Dynasty DiscordComment

Re: Is there a reason 2k can't save controller settings?
I find it interesting that this thread isn't getting more replies. Maybe the majority play on default, or this simply just isn't a big issue for them.
Like Kodii said, it has nothing to do with going to demo mode because I rarely do. I have to check my controller settings multiple times a session -- this can occur at any time.
