Used your sliders last year and loved them, also enjoyed last years game a lot. In your opinion, is this years game that much of an upgrade over 17 and worth the purchase. I will definitely be getting the game but wanted to wait until it went on sale. I play with the bruins also.

I've used your sliders in 17 and was anxiously awaiting the 18 ones. One question though: why did you give such an advantage in skating speed to human? Thanks

Beacause the CPU seems to have a rocket up their behind on All-Star and this evens things out

            Re: TNK NHL18 All-Star Sliders

Ran with your sliders last year and had a great time. Ended up playing a full season with the Rangers and losing in the first round to the damn Devils. Anyway, I've played 4 games with these and so far the game is playing great. I think I'm going to avoid any tuner updates unless something really jumps out at me. Lost the first two games 4-3, and then 3-1. Won my last two games 3-2, and for the first time ever, 1-0. Last year, I vividly remember never having a shutout with Henrik and that pissed me off; mainly because your CPU defenders were idiots and out of position all the time and goalies would let in soft goals. I definitely would argue this year, although definitely not perfect in any way, your CPU Defense puts itself in a better position to defend now.

I saw in other slider threads some people think Pro is the new All Star? I don't know, I don't see it. In the first four games, the CPU has not had more than 35 shots against me yet, and that's with 12 minute periods. Every other slider thread has the periods set to 8 minutes so I'm very happy about that! The game is definitely playing better than last year. And I'm of the opinion that during a real hockey game, there are times when a team can't get the puck out of their own zone. When the CPU gets all super star on me, I just have to play better and work to clear the puck. If I could stop the CPU in my own zone at will there wouldn't be any challenge.

The only area I'm going to be looking at is penalties. My CPU teammates might take a tad too many and the CPU opposition might not take quite enough, but I'll play a bunch of games before I change anything. Loving these so far.

Do these sliders reflect the new slashing rule?

Where art thou TNK? You're not posting game results so I'm thinking you're not too involved in NHL just yet. You still using the sept 21 sliders?

I have mixed yours with couple others and think I found the perfect match. I like your settings for passing, puck control, agility.

This year I have played a lot and trying to find best slider set for challenging but fun. It’s been challenging for the most part but I’m getting closer. Now having more fun and realistic and matches are so close and fun. I will share my results

Would like people to focus on the following areas and give feedback about what feels right or wrong

                          SKATING WITH THE PUCK
SKATING WITHOUT THE PUCK (turns, momentum, cuts, etc)
                          PASSING
                          FLOW OF THE PLAY

Lets get these things sorted out first and get the game "feeling" the way you like it......less worried about stats at this point as I am about the feel and flow of play

                            TNK - TEST GAME

                            Boston (Me) @ Minnesota (CPU)

The Bruins opened the scoring late in the 1st period when Frank Vatrano sniped top corner on the rush to give Boston a 1-0 lead. Boston went on the PP a minute or so later and David Krejci would put home a rebound with 0:04 left in the period to give the Bruins a 2-0 lead heading into the locker room.

The Wild controlled the play in the 2nd period and had some extended powerplay time but could not cash in as Tuukka Rask was sharp in the Bruins net and the score remained 2-0 after two periods with Boston out-shooting Minnesota 23-18 after 40 minutes of play.

Minnesota came out with good pressure to begin the 3rd period but the Bruins were able to maintain their 2-0 lead until Ryan Suter scored through a screen with 3:57 remaining to cut the deficit to 2-1. The Wild would get Dubnyk to the bench for the extra attacker in the final minute and had a couple chances but Rask came up with some key saves and time would run out as the Bruins hang on for a 2-1 victory

                            * Shots were 31-30 in favor of Boston

                            * Game felt pretty good....need to play more games and get a variety of results to see how the sliders hold up over a stretch of 5 to 10 games

                            * Need people to test and provide feedback so we can fine tune these and hopefully have them ready for franchise play in a week or so when the roster update comes out
