I miss the ability to use custom rosters and having most of the teams relocate to Seattle is kind of weird. Overall, I'm not sure it is a set forward from the past few years.

There are some weird elements beyond relocation too. The player I was told to sign was a new signee at the start of the season and unavailable for trade for 90 days. Even then, I could not make any deals happen. Even three team trades did not work.

I'm liking it for the most part.  My only issue has been the new owner continuing to push me to trade for John Collins and the Hawks not giving him up for anything.  I'm using the Wiz and even through a rash of injuries I have us in 1st place.  Not only that but he's pressing me to trade into the top 3 to get one of those Big 3.  No package I've been able to construct gives me a shot at any of those and I am not trading Wall.  It's been interesting but for the most part, it's enjoyable.  Not sure what's going to happen in the offseason since I've seen they have issues with RFA and some contracts based on these boards.

The part I enjoyed the most was firing the new owner's son lol. I couldn't wait to do that!

Is anyone else as annoyed as I am at how, if your team moves to Seattle, the Sonics still have their old jerseys with the short (or at least shorter than every other team) shorts? Completely ruined the immersion for me. I'm sure there's a valid reason for it (licensing or something of that nature), but doesn't change how ridiculous it looks.

Refreshing isn’t the word i’d use lol. Feels like they spent minimal time on it.

There’s no dialogue and the story is only a season long before it goes back to regular MyGM likes it’s been for years. Seems like they just rushed it and didn’t spend that much time on it

                The forced trade is HORRIBLE.

The story doesn't nearly make up for not being able to start in the offseason, or start with expansion.

That big franchise write up was phooey...it's mostly window dressing, no substantial changes.

Plus draft classes are STOOPID. Each year an 85-94 rated stud arrives?! C'mon, 2K...

I agree with most of the comments that this mode took a step back. Let us use custom draft classes and rosters as well as expansion teams and I would have liked this mode. It's always been the only mode I play and without the ability to customize it like we used to be able to I find myself simply not playing 2k at all. The disappointment of this mode has made the entire game a huge disappointment for me.

"Fun."  LOL.  Not fun.  Stupid.  Give me the option to beat the hell out of the owner's son, and maybe we could call it fun.  For about a second.  Maybe.

Oh, and give me a true GM/Coach mode, dang it.

I have used the Cars in MyGM and it's horrible...
The owner pushed me to trade for Vince Carter and Marresse Speights, I traded Shumpert for Carter and it ended up Carter saying he will retire...
The Magic were unwilling to trade him even when I offered them Rose, Frye, Nets 1st Round for him and Mack...
And before the trade deadline a trade happened without my permission.. and it's Zicic for Speights... player for player...

                        Refreshing lol.

Select a team then create a new slot and select a new team and see if it's still refreshing.

I can tell you only played this once.

It's annoying as hell when you play with say the Hawks then decide you wanna pick a new team like say the Lakers and go through the whole entire process all over again.

From the intro to the cutscenes to the seattle relocation to the forced trade to having to hear about Baldwin, Staples & the other guy being Melo/Bron/Wade.

                        All over again.

At the end all of that being for nothing because the ******* owner comes back to take the team anyway.

Tell me how just as a little experiment I selected the Knicks and watched them trade Frank Ntill for Derrick Rose.

                        What. The. Actual. ****?

You can't edit or create ANY prospects in the first year because......reasons & have to wait until the next season to edit prospects. The first time I played it I was intrigued, I felt like my job was really on the line and felt invested to make moves but after multiple selections it's honestly annoying and you could legit just skip the first year just to get to the good part which is the 2nd season.
