    NBA 2k18 Playground/Park Discussion Thread

Feel free to discuss the Playground/Park gameplay and nuances here.

    What's working:
I love how quickly the games start compared to prior years, almost instant.

    What's not working:
10/4/2017 - Playground gameplay seems to have gotten very choppy at times again, with a drop in frame rate.

I also love how quickly the games start. Also like how there is no magnetic pull towards screens. My biggest issue is the choppy lag and the squad invites taking forever to be accepted. Also the 2 on 2 games are broken because centers just cheese their way with little resistance posting up and then drop stepping and dunking.

Yea, framerate is still not fixed. Lost a lot of unnecessary games because of it.

I try to work through it, but it's just too much sometimes.

Has really killed immersion for me this year, but to 2K's credit, I find myself playing more MyCareer games than I ever have too.

But I have a shot creating playmaker, and I have to time that shot perfectly or it's not going to fall.

So when a frame drops and I can't watch the animation play out, I feel hopeless.

I can see myself moving on earlier this year if they can't figure this out, but at least Pro-Am runs smooth.

I love the speed at which games start and that one court is reserved for non-squads...

I can't stand the choppiness it's been brutal again, the moving screens and I feel as though my guy gets sucked into animations of the screen now

Yeah I really want to play park with the fast loading games, but playing defense and timing shots is a legit chore playing with the frame rate/lag/choppiness more so than it can already be. Even with good internet nothing changes. Something has to be done.

Oh yeah get sucked into screens and not being able to move is rough.

Real rough. Had a couple close ones last night due to this. I thought the magnetic pull into screens was fixed but apparently it's not. Not to mention your dude is stuck in quick sand for a second or two allowing the other team to get off a shot before you can recover.

I haven't had any real major issues in Playground as of yet. I think the most annoying thing is the come arounds who will continuously play you until they beat you. I absolutely hate the 2k camera this year and I'm still adjusting to it but other than that it's not bad. I find myself playing pro-am more much however.

Playground is almost unplayable at the moment with this frame rate drops, how this can happen in a sport game we need clean 60fps....

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)

Late contest on laups matter too much.

                Random blocks doing pumpfakes.

Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.

Rolled up against what I assume was a max size Finsher/post scorer last night. He was damn near unstoppable in the post.

Guys with the frame rate issues: Stupid question, but are you wired or wireless?

I plugged in last night, and aside from a lag spike here or there, it was pretty smooth. This was also like, 12 midnight central time.

                      Wired

You were probably in the park with 45-50 people it works then.

Park this year is just full of dodgers, running away every time, me and the guy I run with line up the others already line up straight up leave and run away. Even 60 overall are doing it. As soon as they see players 89 or above they are gone

Anybody having difficult with teams of slashers? Me (6'7 shot creating playmaker), and my two buddies (6'3 shot creating sharp, 7'3 pure AF) have won about 80% of our games. We've run into a couple squads that all have slasher in their archetype and have not been able to beat them. They are fast/physical and finish damn near everything on us! Anybody else run into anything similar?

If they're pure slasher just give them the Tony Allen treatment and sag off them. As in literally do not defend them on the perimeter. Clog the paint.

I've tried and had a very easy time covering these types of players in 2K17. I've found that the badged up slashers in 2K18 have a very easy time finishing at the rim even with the strong contest.
