Re: 2k18 Everything Playbooks
After playing a few games last night I saw some great action but I was disappointed in a few things,
1 - I can see I really need to put the PNR plays in order between all play types and enter them in in order to see better variety of actions.
2 - That leads me to for some reason in a few PNR plays that had the 4 in the corner in practice mode and worked great they would leave the corner in game.
3 - The High Post PNPop plays I am not liking few... Need the Pick and pop to be more effective for stretch 4's & 5's.
4 - I need to see more DHO's and swing action in game.
5 - This is probably a post slider and post touches tendency problem along with coaching favoring a position? But no post touches or post up's in my games. I see guard posts but not with bigs. keep in mind I played the Hornets & Pelicans as well as Celtics.
The CPU definitely called the 1st play in a play type more than others. I will look at those as well. I also noticed I needed to tweak play type orders as too many had the same 1st play call like P&R ball handler, P&R Wing, etc to where I'd see no 3 pt or mid range plays ran...
All in all they were great games with a variety of plays, but a few things stood out. I ended up beating the Celtics by 2 and they had a wide open 3 with J. Brown that clanged out at the buzzer to win it as I doubled Kyrie off the PNR... I just played a half vs Pelicans & Hornets... By the way, the rotation edits are AWESOME and a game changer! Hate the foul trouble no sub issue though...
So, I am going to go back in and test some plays to lock down and get the results we are looking for before I move on too far with teams... Sometimes less is more in a sense meaning if 1 high post play gets me the result we want but the others don't I can ride with 1 or 2 high post plays instead of 4.
