Why in Fifa 18 the Brazilian and Chilean clubs have generic player name?

No licensing alot of the brazilian team are from the second division aswell

Absolutely all Brazilian League players are Generic, 100%. Plus, the game lacks Flamengo, and Corinthians, the 2 biggest Brazilian (and American) teams in the world due to them being exclusively licensed to PES

Why even have them in the game? I don't want "fake" players in the game. I defiantly don't want fake teams in the game.. I wonder why they did this..

Fake team are alright and the fake players dont really both me but i do understand what you are sayin
And i think they have that with some leagues like the prem and mls

EA does have most leagues entirely licensed (in terms of players, logos, team names, not necessarily stadiums or managers). Only the South American leagues have generic players, really. Brazil and Chile are entirely generic because they won’t sell their license. Some of the Argentinian teams, maybe Colombia. The only European leagues with generic teams (but have the real players) are Portugal, and Italian Serie B, as far as I can recall. All of the generic teams in those leagues have logos based on the logo they have in real life, and are typically named after the city they are based in. Their players are real. Yes it sucks that they aren’t in, but a lot of teams are giving exclusive licenses to PES, or just don’t give their licenses at all. For whatever reason. I really don’t understand why teams turn down the free advertising that comes with being in FIFA, but it happens. Cause basically all of these generic teams I’ve mentioned aren’t in PES. And are teams that have been in previous FIFA’s.

I do wish the put the Afc champions cup in the game playingwith teams in japan Korea Arabia and Australia in careermode is point less

I guess I don't understand PES or FIFA wanting to lose team or player's authenticity. By buying rights from one team, the lose rights to a different team and all gamers lose out on a complete game.
I understand why every stadium or face scans are not in either game, simply losing names....


As far as fake players. They will inevitably, creep into teams and leagues that I play against. I'm a player who plays a fairly realistic career. Thus, it bothers me a little more than the next guy, when fake players start popping up in my career.
Are the fake players actually based on real players, but can be named correctly because of licenses? If so, that's slightly more tolerable.

I don’t think it’s that they WANT to lose them, some teams just don’t seem to care. For whatever reason.

I don’t know if they’re based on actual players, but I would doubt it. Because EA has had likeness issues in the past (NCAA Basketball and Football, same issue of not having the license to players albeit these were amateurs) I would think they are very cautious with that. If the fake players are based on their real life counterparts, as in height/weight/attributes/any part of their name they could feasibly wind up in a lawsuit.
