    Neigborhood is unplayable... facts.

Been a while since I've posted anything on here but my rage is boiling over and i can't take this 2k18 game seriously right now. I run a squad with about 6-8 guys and we've been playing since 2k15. We've all figured out our personal builds and contribution to the team to win in pro-am and mainly park. Last year we 3 (the main guys i run with) all hit SuperStar 1. I was a 6'11 240 pure paint pro with over 40 badges. Grinded my life way. But was pleased because the grind, money spent on VC, etc. reflected with WINS on the MyPark courts.

This year with the whole new redesign on NBA2k18 and the introduction of The Neighborhood, has gotten me to the point where i just want to put my controller down and wait until more patches and updates come out.

Reasoning, I made a 7'2 270 Rebounding/Driving&Finishing beast of a player. Have grinded for days to get to an 87 with silver posterizer, relentless finisher, defensive stopper, rim protector, etc. My dude should easily be competitive in the "Neigborhood" along with my other two squad members who are both 90 overalls and way more badges.

My point i am making is 2k has buffered the "Park" to appeal more towards the lower rated players who haven't grinded as much or spent as much money.

Example 1: Myself an 87, and my two squad members 90 and 89 are missing layups, getting blocked, can't stop, etc. lower rated players with records like 5-30 and worse. To the point where we just get off the game in rage.

Example 2: testing this theory that 2K has buffered the Park to even out the playing field between the dedicated grinders and the occasional players, is this... Last night i had a 7'3 280 rebounding stretch 5. 60 overall no upgrades and no badges. I go step on a Park game and it starts up. First thing I noticed was not only was i a 60 but the two members on my team (randoms) were both under 85 overall and both CENTERS... The team we were playing were two PG's and a 1 SF. All three were playmaking sharps or playmaking shot creators all over 85 and 1 was a 90. I didn't look but i can assume they had way more badges than us combined. And guess what with no badges and 60 overall i went 3-5 from deep and we won 4 games in a row. I was averaging 10 points a game and about 4-5 boards and 1-2 blocks. On guys WAY higher rated and more badges than myself. I was even getting Greens from behind the arch at a 60 and no shooting badges.

This game is broken and will not spend another second grinding or money until this crap is fixed.

    end rant.

bro just because he is a 60 doesn't mean he won't hit if you leave him open.

Overalls and badges are not be all end all. Knowing how to play trumps the attributes....Sounds like you got your *** kicked by low rated players haha. It's okay no one goes undefeated.

We had this discussion yesterday in the party and said the same thing OP. This game gives the not so skilled players a chance to compete. Overalls never really mattered but they REALLY don't matter this year. We'd breeze through the 90 overalls but have closer games with guys in the 60's who were in my opinion far less skilled. I don't quite understand it but it is what it is I guess.

          My fragile ego the thread

Edit: Sooo....just because they have lower overalls means that their bball IQ is just as low? Lol I was right with my assessment....some of you guys just can't stand taking the L from someone lower rated than you

Definitely not. But seeing kids get rewarded for bullying their way to the rack and shooting contested shots constantly will have you scratching ya head at times. I feel where he's coming from to a certain extent.

Calling BS...and I agree with a previous post. Low overall is NOT the same as low BBIQ. Also, bigs really don't have any business in the Park given the 3-on-3 format. I learned that lesson the hard way, and I keep my *** in ProAm.

I'm 95% pro am player but sometimes i go in the park to relax and pick up easy wins. 7'3 300 pound pure athletic barely any trouble in 3v3 and 2v2 im almost undefeated. But park is thrash compared to pro am so yeha im taking my *** to pro am most of the time haha.

Bigs can have success in park but with randoms who love doing their 7 iso moves or left right left right before shooting... not so much success. Last week we ran 2 bigs and a PG in Park and won like 7/10 games. But I'm with you guys as well, I'm taking Pro-Am over park easy.

how is the game broken just because you hitting jumpers with a specialist without badges? Having a high overall doesnt exempt you from being affected by defenders

True that. That's like the only time I'm effective, because they give me enough time to get back on defense, lol.

Ratings and badges don't determine the game, they just give you the advantage
Sounds like you underestimated some players and paid the price.
