I actually like it less than when demo was out, most likely my connection online is killing the gameplay... But

1. Star Emphasis: stars play like stars and not in an ultra cheap arcadey, but I appreciate that a player like LeBron isn't hindered to cater to try and be overly sim..they need to be a pain to try and stop and they are...they need to make some tough shots and they do.

2. User Control: yes, they have created a bit of a morph/2man animation around the basket, but other than that it's pretty darn free...which is incredibly refreshing since that is why I play sports games, to control my player/team not watch animations play out

3. EA Action Low Cam: easily my favorite camera in an NBA game..just love it

4. Step Backs/Spins/Moves: this adds extra dynamic to the gameplay, and they're performed near perfectly.

5. Presentation/Crowd: The crowd is amazing, puts you in the game. I also just enjoy the responsiveness and simplicity of the menu systems and the ESPN presentation. It overall feels fresh and clean



I also want to just credit them for cleaning up majority of the cheesy shots/hooks.

My biggest issue is one that's constantly said on here...the stiffness. It gets more apparent the more you play, it's obviously a ton better, but sometimes dribbling around feels like a plastic toy level stiffness if it's freelancing.

i agree with this. For me the omission of paying to win is the best part. Upgrading like everyone else by playing is the way to go. And it's fun to boot too.

Between these two I’ve been playing LIVE 80% of the time and 2K just 20% of the time.

LIVE is fun! The other game I buy just for variety.

Definitely agree with the article on this game not being so heavy on microtransactions and is shock...an actual game for players to enjoy. Reading reviews of 2k18 and not only are a lot of people fed up by it, but even respected reviewers listed this as a big problem.

That was a big factor in me going with live 18 this year. I think as live continues to improve, 2k will be forced to take it easy on the pay2win aspects in their games a bit.

I.... Friggin... Like it!! I have been having a blast with Live. I have split the duties of Live for my career play and 2K for my franchise play. Apparently, you cannot create players in Live to use in franchise. I still have love for live though.
