1. Player of the month
East - "The Greek Freak" Giannis Antetokounmpo has earned the prize being the best player of the month. While Milwaukee has been holding on to their playoff spot, Giannis has been on fire, keeping other teams on their heels constantly. Some of his better games include a 30-16-12 night against the Pelicans, and 39 point game against Sacramento.
West - While you could pick a number of players from the Warriors roster to win the award this month, the honors go to Stephen Curry. The Point Guard from Davidson has been "el fuego", with every game being a double-double for him this month, and he hasn't scored less than 25 in a single game. Most notably - 38-10 against the Clippers, 29-11 against Miami and 28-10 against the Mavericks.
2. Rookie of the month
East - Last month, it was Simmons, who received the honors. This month, a different Sixer grabs it, as Markelle Fultz is the ROTM. The Sixers youngsters are still keeping on to their playoff spot, and Fultz has made some big plays to keep the process going. Six games over 20+ points, four double-double games and even a triple-double flirt (29-13-9 vs the Timberwolves).
West - The rookie in the West, isn't much of a rookie, as Milos Teodosic was given the award. While everybody knew the 30-year old Serbian is a passing phenom, he even contributed with scoring this month - including a 24 point game against OKC.
3. Injuries
Injuries are, sadly, a big part of this game. Let's take a look of some of the bigger injuries so far into this season.
Josh Hart - Dislocated Right Patella - 2-4 Months
