Brogdon shines as Stars take the win

The best way to kick off the All-Star Weekend is to see the young guns of the league showcasing their talents. And for tonight, while there are a ton of bragging rights in the league games themselves, none of these youngsters want to look bad in LA.

The Stars took an early advantage, hitting a few big shots and really running circles around the Elites. Fultz and Ntilikina were running the floor, while Brogdon was shooting great from deep. The Elites were on their tail, when the starters were on, as nobody had an answer for Embiid and the Kings trio. Simmons, the dunk contest participant, kept catching lobs left, right and center.

However, it was the Stars, who secured the win, with Brogdon winning the MVP honors for this game. "It is an honor, really. To be a second-round pick and be in this event twice now, it is a blessing, man."

We have always been used to the fact that the ASG is an event where no defense is played, and teams go on riots of scoring nights. Tonight, it was not the case.

Both teams came out to play their hardest and gave the spectators the least scoring, yet most interesting game in a while.

The game started off hotly contested by both teams. The West held a narrow lead with Leonard and Westbrook looking solid early on. Yet this didn't mean the East were resting on their backsides, as shooters like Lowry and Beal kept the game close, while LeBron was unstoppable.

The key difference came in the third quarter, where the East went on a 10-0 run, and all 10 were scored by The King himself. In the end, that was enough for the East to secure this victory.

The MVP title was awarded for LeBron James, who was the difference maker this game. "I told the guys in the locker-room that we gotta be strong, we gotta give it to them, lets actually make this a game, not just players throwing lobs". That kind of intensity made the difference between the two teams, as the West were not ready to cope with LeBron and the crew.

Guys,

I am calling a quits on this one. I'm not going to lie, I am so far ahead (in next season) with it already that posting it back just doesn't feel right to me. I keep half-arsing the write-ups, so I don't feel like it is my best work and certainly don't think it is that entertaining.

I will defo make a new one, but I have to take a step back and think how I go through with it.
