Primetime Wrestling: A WWE 2k18 Production

Welcome one and all, I am going to be keeping this introduction rather brief and getting right into the meat and potatoes of this dynasty as it were. I have always loved WWE games, though recently they have not been the greatest, though with WWE 2k18 I decided to finally once again dive in deep and play a new WWE game. This story will be following Primetime Wrestling as company that was born from the demise of the WWE. But we will get into that in a few posts in a little bit. I hope that everyone will enjoy the show as it were and get ready for some fun.

            WWE ANNOUNCES SALE OF COMPANY
FRIENDS BUY COMPANY IN HOPES TO REVIVE WRESTLING

GREENWICH, CT (AP) – Breaking news from the headquarters of the WWE today as Vince McMahon has announced that he is selling the WWE. The story broke early this morning after investors started pulling out of the WWE stock and the company started to bleed money. Unfortunately to compound the problems for Mr. McMahon was the company had already begun showing signs of failing with falling attendance numbers along with many cost cutting measures to help alleviate the stress. In the end none of the money saving measures were enough and investors had seen enough to know that they could not continue to support the WWE. What is most shocking however is that this is actually a sale of the entire company, not in such a fantastic story as when McMahon bought out WCW but close.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must reluctantly announce the sale of the company that has been so near and dear to my heart as well as my families for as long as I can remember. We attempted to try everything we could in order to avoid this from happening and saving the company that my father built. However not everything always works out the way you want and it is with that I announce the sale of the WWE in its entirety along with all contracts of current stars. At this time I have been informed the purchasing team does not want to keep myself or any family on to help with the transition of the company as they have their own plans to set in motion.”

News of the “team” of purchasers slowly began to trickle out after the announcement and it was revealed that the WWE was purchased by a couple of friends from Canada, Kyle Hunter and Alex Cobb. With the purchase came some news from the pair as to just what kind of direction the company would be going moving forward with some current stars possibly on the way out and some new ones coming into the mix.

“It is with out great pleasure that today we are able to announce the acquisition of World Wrestling Entertainment. When we heard the rumors of this possibly happening we knew that we needed to jump on such an incredible opportunity and take the chance to really create something special. Moving forward we will not be maintaining the WWE name, as of this day it no longer is a thing and never will be moving forward. We are excited to announce the formation of Primetime Wrestling. A new promotion that will see many of the top talents remain apart of the plans moving forward while moving away from older and less talents individuals. Within the coming days we will be announcing much more information as well, including new shows, days, and even some information on PPV's coming.”

With that folks its easy to see that we will be expecting some new and exciting things to be sure coming out of this over the coming days. No immediate shows have been announced as the new owners will be sitting down with talent and formulating rosters for what we hear will be a total of 3 shows per week though nothing further is known at this time about just what the shows will be called and who will be involved. Stay tuned for more information as we get it!

              SHOWS & ROSTERS UNVEILED
3 SHOWS ANNOUNCED ALONG WITH ROSTERS FOR EACH SHOW

TORONTO, ON (AP) – Today was the big day, when Kyle and Alex announced the main details about Primetime Wrestling, the new promotion created from the now defunct WWE. We got to learn about the now confirmed 3 shows, along with the PPV's and the rosters that will be at each of the shows. We also got to to find out and see some new names that have now signed on to Primetime Wrestling, some names either already left WWE or are now brand new to the company in general. Without further delay lets break down all of the announcements that we received today.

This will be the flagship show for PW and will be airing on Monday nights much like RAW aired previously. Some interesting news is that there will be 3 titles, 2 single titles along with a tag team championship. The next big thing we learned is that the show has a very exciting and new stable to make its way on over. That stable is none other than the Bullet Club, PW announced in their press release that they have signed, Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, Marty Scurll along with Matt and Nick Jackson. This is huge news to be sure and get ready for some really fun matches as they are going to be joined by the born again Wyatt Family, and The Shield. CM Punk also makes his return to the ring along with Rey Mysterio rounding out the newly signed names to PW over on Glory.

              GLORY PPV'S

              Evolve
              Adapt
              Survive
              Extinction

The next show that was announced is Prestige which will be airing on Wednesday nights and will again have its own roster of superstars along with 3 titles as well with 2 single belts and a tag team championship. Prestige doesn't have the huge impact signings that Glory has but has a very strong roster of wrestlers all the same with The Undisputed, New Day and Sanity all finding their way to the Wednesday night show. Of note major singles stars will include AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe, Neville and Drew McIntyre. There is also rumors of another star to be added later but as of now nothing has been announced and both Kyle and Alex said these are the finalized rosters heading into the start of PW.

              PRESTIGE PPV'S

              Mayhem
              Destruction
              Annihilation
              Resurrection

The final show to be announced is Honor which will be on Fridays. The major news on this show is that it is an all female roster, something the WWE never decided to do. Again the show like the others will feature 3 total titles, 2 singles along with a tag team championship as well. There has been a few big signings to help bolster the roster as well as Roxanne Rolston, Kairi Sane, Liv Morgan and Toni Storm all signed on to PW to appear on the show. They will be joined by much of the WWE women as most contracts were picked up with only a few women still having their futures some what up in the air moving forward with the company.

              HONOR PPV'S
              Domination
              Supremacy
              Ascendancy
              Authority

              Stardom

This was announced as the be all end all PPV for the company and will act much like Wrestlemania did for the WWE. All shows will be present on the card and every title in the company will be featured during the show. The show itself will take place every January and is made to kick off the incredible year of wrestling each and every year.

First of all, welcome to the club. Always nice to see some new people around here.

Second, I love the setup. Everything from the show names to the PPV names. Very cool.

Third, if you ever have any questions or want to run stuff by anyone everyone is pretty willing to help out and give suggestions. Myself, Bard, and Reed have been posting our Universes on here the longest I think, but there are others that have joined us and we've formed a pretty nice community.

Thank you very much for the kind works and appreciate everything especially the help as I am sure with WWE I may have questions how to do certain things in game especially. Certainly always great to be apart of such a tight knit community as well.

                    HONOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT
                    LIVE FROM VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Everyone knew there would be some issues with Primetime Wrestling taking over the WWE and one of those problems was there were a few dates still on the schedule with big commitments. To help benefit and build good will with fans around the world Primetime Wrestling decided that they would honor some of these dates especially in larger markets with holding their title tournaments in those markets. Now at first glance people may be confused as they are still using WWE branding and rings but from a logistics stand point it made the most sense and allows Primetime Wrestling some time to get things polished and ready for their main shows coming up. Now lets get right into the Honor World Championship results that came live from Vancouver, British Columbia!

                    ROUND ONE

                    ASUKA VS KAIRI SANE

In a hotly anticipated match between two Japanese stars did not let down when it came to their debuts in Primetime Wrestling. To start off the match Asuka was in complete control really limiting Sane on what she was able to do in the ring and inflicting a great deal of damage. Sane though would not be taken lightly as she would finding an opening and take Asuka by surprise when she countered one of Asuka's deadly kicks. Sane mounted a strong comeback and actually was able to get Asuka into a near pin but that is as close as Sane would get as Asuka would hit her with the running hip attack out of no where and Sane would be out cold for the three count allowing Asuka to start up a new undefeated streak in Primetime Wrestling.

                    Winner: Asuka VIA Pinfall

                    TONI STORM VS LIV MORGAN

A match between two brand new wrestlers in Primetime Wrestling had the fans abuzz and really invested in this match from the word go. And it looked like it would be a match for Toni Storm to really show what she could do as she dominated Morgan for nearly the entire match. Liv was able to get int the occassional offense to be sure but this match really was Storm from beginning to end with no really worries as to who was going to win, that was until... Alexa Bliss made her debut. Not even a competitor in this tournament she came out and attacked Liv Morgan screaming that this was her spot and Morgan had no business being in the match or tournament. For her effort Bliss did give Morgan the win as Storm was disqualified by the ref, Storm did not look impressed and this could surely setup a hotly contested feud.

                    Winner: Liv Morgan VIA Disqualification

                    BAYLEY VS BECKY LYNCH

In the end this was one of the matches everyone saw coming when the Honor show was announced, the second of such matches took place right after this one. To their credit Bayley and Lynch put on one heck of a match and really did their best to steal the show. During the match there were certainly some interesting goings on between the former friends as Bayley bounced Lynch's head off the steal ring post a couple of times trying her best to pickup the win and at one point Lynch used the ropes for leverage in a pinfall attempt. The match was a very back and forth affair with Lynch kicking out of a Bayley to Belly which was followed by Bayley kicking out of an Bexploder by Lynch. In the end though it would be Lynch hitting one more Bexploder and following that up with the Dis-Arm-Her which Bayley would tap out to.

                    Winner: Becky Lynch VIA Submission

                    CHARLOTTE VS SASHA BANKS

This would normally be the match of the year candidate but on a card such as this it might not even rank in the top 3 of this tournament. Now this isn't to say they did not put on a heck of a match because they certainly did and neither woman disappointed as you could tell that they were both wanting to pick up a big win over the other. Banks looked to be in trouble through the middle part of the match as Charlotte was in complete control and even managed to hit Banks with the natural selection but Sasha was able to dig down deep and kick out at 2 and a half. Following the kick out Charlotte lost her edge as she argued with the ref letting Banks sneak in a back stabber and rolling through into the Banks Statement in the middle of the ring making Charlotte tap out and picking up the round one win.

                    Winner: Sasha Banks VIA Submission

                    ROUND TWO

                    ASUKA VS LIV MORGAN

In the second round it seemed all but assured that Asuka would walk away with a very easy win but Morgan showed much more fight the second time around and pushed Asuka. Morgan was able to get in a good amount of offense and came up with a couple of pinfall attempts though neither were really all to close to actually keeping Asuka down. But they were both closer then Sane was able to get in the first round. Asuka quickly was able to get back into her own personal rhythm and really began to take it to Morgan with big kick after big kick. Once again Asuka went to the running hip attack but this time instead of going for the pin allowed Morgan to get up to her feet and lock in the Asuka lock! Morgan had no choice but to tap out.

                    Winner: Asuka VIA Submission

                    BECKY LYNCH VS SASHA BANKS

Yet another match between the original womens revolution crew. Another tough fought and back and forth adventure with a few near falls and breaking out of submissions. Lynch started the match off strong hitting Banks with some hard hitting suplexes and even a ddt on the outside of the ring. All of this lead to a near fall once Becky tossed Sasha back in to the ring but ultimately it was far from enough. A Bexploder later and it looked like Becky would finally have Sasha down for the count but Banks was able to kick out at 2 and a half and soon would mount a comeback. Unfortunately for Becky this match would end much like Banks first one with a back stabber into the Banks Statement which Becky had no choice but to submit to.

                    Winner: Sasha Banks VIA Submission

                    FINAL

                    ASUKA VS SASHA BANKS

It all came down to this match the first meeting between two of the best in the business. Asuka looking to pick up where she left off in the WWE and Sasha Banks who is looking to start in a new company with the first title reign. This match certainly lived up to the hype as well with both women looking incredible in the ring and both pull out all the stops to try and pick up the win. Banks was the first one delivering a great hurricanrana from the top rope on Asuka followed by a pin and kick out at 2. Asuka would not be undone though as should we hit a top rope suplex on Banks again followed by a 2 count with Banks kicking out. Banks would get a chance to lock in the Banks Statement but Asuka was able to power her way out and lock in the Asuka Lock. Banks fought for awhile before finally passing out with her arm falling three times and giving Asuka the win and championship.

Winner AND New Honor World Champion: Asuka VIA Submission

Also can you have Wrestlemania as a lowly house show for good measures? You know where its coming from *winkwink*

                              LIVE FROM HOUSTON, TEXAS

                              ROUND ONE

                              EMMA VS DANA BROOKE

In a match that pitted former friends against one another things got off to a quick and hot start all thanks to Dana Brooke. As Emma was making her way out to the ring Dana jumped her from behind to unofficially begin the match and it the hard hitting did not stop after that. Both Brooke and Emma got in some good hard shots off on one another before finally getting into the ring. Unfortunately for Dana she should have stayed on the outside because once inside the ring it was all Emma and never once did she let Dana get back on the offensive. Emma was able to get get Dana down on the ground and locked in the Emma Lock and made Brooke tap on out to pick up the win in the first round.

                              Winner: Emma VIA Submission
                              Rating: 3 Stars

                              NIKKI CROSS VS PAIGE

This was the return of Paige, and she was looking to make very quick work of Nikki Cross in the first round, however as we all know that very rarely happens. Paige easily took it to Nikki right at the start of the match landing in some hard punches and kicks in on Nikki who did not seem to look ready for the early onslaught by Paige. It took some time but Nikki was able to reverse a suplex by Paige and turned the momentum into her favor finally landing in some offense of her own especially with delivering a few hard hitting headbutts to really take Paige off her game. Nikki was able to stagger Paige just enough to hit the Perfect Storm for the 1-2-3 pinfall victory.

                              NIA JAX VS CARMELLA

This match was about what every expected it to be but not many thought Carmella would get destroyed in the way that she did. Nia was completely on top of Carmella from start to finish of this match and hit not one but two popup Samoan drops and at one point the ref actually needed to pull Jax back to make sure Carmella was okay and could continue on. Jax was able to pick up the very easy and quick win via pinfall after the second Samoan drop.

                              Winner: Nia Jax VIA Pinfall

                              ALEXA BLISS VS EMBER MOON

Bliss was the heavy favorite going into this match but for anyone that has watched Ember Moon wrestle knows that she always comes and rises to the occasion. The start of the match certainly did favor Alexa with her hitting a quick clothesline and just jumping on top of Ember to make sure she could not get back up quickly trying to ground the high flier. Bliss had control and was going for the Insult to Injury and hit the first part but Ember was able to counter the moonsault and get on the offense. Bliss fans every where had to hold their breath as Ember Moon was able to hit the eclipse and roll over for the pin, however Alexa was able to kick out after the 2 count. It wasn't all to long after that where Alexa countered a clothesline into the snap ddt and pinned Ember for the three count and picked up the victory.

                              Winner: Alexa Bliss VIA Pinfall

                              ROUND TWO

                              NIKKI CROSS VS EMMA

Round two for Emma was not so kind to her as Nikki Cross really took it hard to Emma right from the start of the match. Emma fought hard to make this a match that no one would soon forget but Nikki was not having any of it what so ever. Emma was able to quickly lock in the Emma lock on Nikki but it was nothing that Nikki fans needed to worry about, as she was able to reverse out of it rather quickly and continued the beat down of Emma. After a quick snap suplex Emma stumbled to her feet and right into a swinging fisherman neckbreaker rolling over into the pin and collecting the three count from the ref to advance into the finals.

                              Winner: Nikki Cross VIA Pinfall

                              ALEXA BLISS VS NIA JAX

The battle of supposed best friends took the second semifinal but for Bliss it was unfortunately not her time as with every attack she delivered it seemed to just bounce right off of Nia. It was not for a lack of trying either from Bliss as she went hard and fast at Nia to trying and topple her and get her on the mat but nothing seemed to work. Nia went for long stretches of this match just dropping Alexa with one move after another with very little resistance but Alexa was finally able to get Nia down and did hit the Insult to Injury, however as she was going for the pin Paige's music hit and out she came. The distraction was just enough to give Nia the time to pick Alexa up on her shoulders and dropped her with a devastating Samoan drop and picking up the pinfall win while Paige taunted Little Miss Bliss on the outside of the ring.

                              Winner: Nia Jax VIA Pinfall

                              FINAL

                              NIKKI CROSS VS NIA JAX

In a somewhat surprising final for the Intercontinental Championship Nia Jax squared off against Nikki Cross neither of whom were the favorites to come out of their brackets but here we are. Unfortunately for Nikki she had to go against the one woman who has looked incredibly dominant against everyone she has faced and also unfortunately for Nikki this match was no different. Sure, Nikki was able to get in some offense here and there, no question about that but nothing really in the way of offense that would be leading to a near fall. In the end Nia Jax just wore down Nikki Cross for to long and with very little fight left in Nikki it was Nia just going in for the kill and hit the devastating Samoan Drop and pinned Nikki for 3 count and claiming the title and becoming the first ever Honor Intercontinental Champion!

Winner and NEW Honor Intercontinental Champion: Nia Jax
