2K18 IA Defense is TOTALLY broken (with video)

Srs, the CPU NBA 2k18 defense is completely broken this year. After understanding the mechanics of LeBron James dribbling (which is not even the best in this matter) I simply abuse the CPU defense. Look at this video:

It was 8/8 FG, 100% hit trying for long 5 minutes at SAME PLAY, at the most difficult level of the game (HOF) and increasing the CPU defense sliders.

Try it yourself. Just ask for isolation, put the ball in LeBron's left hand, take the crossover and tighten the turbo.

The game is completely broken for me at this moment.

To me, it looks like more of a problem with LeBron's stamina not decreasing quick enough than a defense problem. I expect to see LeBron to be able to pull off a play like that, even against Draymond, though not eight times in a row without needing to go to the bench for a minute.

If it's a defense problem, you'd be able to reproduce the same situation with Jae Crowder or J.R. Smith.

I love those click bait titles, video should been called look at me cheese with the highest rated player in the game by calling for an ISO every play.

The first time I beat the HOF CPU several years ago, I used the Pacers vs the HOF CPU Bulls on 5 minute quarters. The final score was 56-52. Darren Collison scored all 56 points. I did it by isolating Collison on the wing and using a simple shot fake to create space. I hit 18 threes and two free throws to the ice the game.

My point is that every year, you can find a way to abuse something.

Ultimately, when you play, sometimes it's up to you to decide not to abuse what you know you can.

And if you get inside the real lebron's mind, you will find frustration when his teammate miss a shot. Still, he passes the ball instead of shooting all the time!!!

i think most players can get a good animation going to the rim in this years game, the rating for the most part doesnt even matter, everyone including big men are able to drive and get something good going toward the rim.

Guys, u are funny try to defend the broken game.

But ok, try it yourself.

Just put TURBO BUTTON and use all player to drive. Do not release the control, just put to drive and click TURBO.

U will win all games, with any team.

I make this (like LeBron video) with Kevin Love, JR Smith....

2K18 have ZERO antecipation by the defense, with turbo, u drible any defender.

Just max out defense awareness, consistency,on-ball defense, and body-up sensitivity.

This does absolutely nothing. Defense is bad in this game. I use Mavs and Pacers.

I wonder if this is a PC version issue. There's another guy on the NLSC forum that has the PC version and posted video examples of how much of a turnstile the defense is. I play on the PS4 on SS and the CPU defense plays alright. Sometimes when I drive I get by my man and other times I get funneled to where the defense wants me to go.

I know people have some fair gripes with the defense on the console version, but it doesn't seem nearly as bad compared to what the PC players have been revealing.

Players dont hit laups and dunks like in this game when they beat their guy off dribble thats what broken is with normal sliders.

Also lower foul shooting slider they bail you out too much.

I don't want brickwall defense to come back but I would like to see some more collision animations for on-ball defense. Nothing stifling just visual cues for the offensive player to see how well they are attacking and for the defender to see how they are defending. Too often I'm seeing this "olé" defense where the defender just watches the ball handler go by.
