The game could be $1, and I would not buy.

I refuse to give them any money for neglecting CFM.

I will gladly wait for Madden 19 if they follow through on CFM promises.

Off ball injuries were a big change, mostly to improve the CFM. I would not say EA completely neglected it. But, compared to other sports games, they definitely should have done a lot more.

It was that price last week on Xbox, had a 5 dollar digital gift card from Microsoft and took the plunge, $27 and some change.

I'm very tempted as well. This is the first year I skipped Madden on opening day and have not been tempted to jump back in until now. I play CFM strictly. Is it worth the 30 bucks?

The question I’ve heard a lot is: “Is Madden good this year?”

Well. Sort of. As a player who’s had this game since launch, I can honestly say I was left with a “meh” feeling. At least you can say that you didn’t wait three months for decent QB play but even then, there’s so much more that could be better with Madden. So, yeah. Essentially you’d be paying $30 for a background change, roster/commentary update, and mediocre NFL simulation.

At least you can say that you didn’t wait three months for decent QB play but even then, there’s so much more that could be better with Madden. So, yeah. Essentially you’d be paying $30 for a background change, roster/commentary update, and mediocre NFL simulation.

Really sounds like a $20 game.

Maybe around Christmas I'll get lucky. I know around the superbowl there's usually a decent sale and my craving ramps up before the draft big time.

I would check the slider forum or take a look at the new patch thread.

This is the best Madden game play since the last patch came out this week. The changes to the CPU QB AI has been outstanding and now I am having chess matches playing defense.

CFM, nah, they haven't added much at all this year.

Depends on your taste, but for me, it was worth the 11 bucks I spent at launch and now I can say it's worth the 30 bucks around this time of the year.

Does the frostbite engine make a big difference in gameplay? Is the team management AI in CFM as dumb as the previous versions?
