Can’t shoot anymore..

I’m not sure if a patch ruined shooting, but I can’t put a ball in the ocean. I have times where I’m wide open and constantly miss shots. Seems the longer you hold the shot button the more success you have on a shot which seems backwards. Shooting is ruined imo, anyone else have problems??

I am also missing wide open shots. Using Aldridge base carmelo 75 curry 25.I was money.. Now missing when everyone Literally is under the basket and I'm toes near 3 point line..Playmaking Sharp PG 90ovr

Yeah, I’m missing good shots with KD, Curry, Klay. Not to say they don’t miss shots, but I’m missing the over whelming majority of my shots unless I’m right by the basket. I can’t remeber the last time I even saw a green release.

If you have been having issues for awhile it cant be anything recent, as for shooting I dont have any issues, I make good shots I have missed good shots I have also made bad shots.

No its not just you, my connection is 100 mbps from xfinity when imI test it, yet lately all my games are extrmely laggy and even when it seems it is not im missing nearly all wide open shots. Ive played with same team all year so no it is not "user."

The same shots I have made seamlessly are bricks, even playcalls that get open 3s.

No free throw is a guranteed make anymore, Im having to battle scrubs and spam euro steps/spins to penetrate / create.

I went from shooting 35-45% clip from 3 to 1-10, 2-14, 3-15 etc....im handicapped.

Can we stop blaming patches for everything? Figure out what you are doing wrong instead of blaming the game.

Some people have become so hell bent on thinking every new patch ruins something instead of looking at what themselves are doing. Why do you think 2K would suddenly change shooting that much that you can't make a basket anymore?

That's exactly how I feel. I accidentally played a game on pro the other day. And just like you said I was going all kinds of 3's. After the 4th I checked. And was like oh that's why lol

I'm not saying I'm having a huge problem with shooting but I have noticed that my good releases wide open tend to miss alot. Same can be said with FT's. I miss 90% chance FT's a lil too often.

It could be lag or the shoot meter throwing me off. I havent felt like turning it off since i switched to playing on the One X from the Pro.

Shooting can be strange at times.

It fluctuates. You learn to adjust but honestly it gets old.

I stopped shooting with my playmaker because he's bricking everything. I notice I get a ridiculous amount of assists now though. Perception leads me to believe my "dimer" is stronger now. Perception isn't always reality, but I can see the difference when people are shooting off of my passes. Earlier in the cycle I would take more shots but the meta is essentially encouraging me to not do that. I had 20+ assits in a walk on game the other night, I rarely see that.

Honestly with the way they've patched things all year to slow people down, anything is possible. I'll usually take 1 or two jumpshots a game and I can tell the AI recognizes I'm not trying to shoot because I will hit the bottom of the net when I do, now.

I don't mind it. I'll acknowledge the fact that I(or the typical NBA player)sometimes will shoot blanks and move on. However whenever I get into one of those lockdown drag out games where I play good defense on horrible/flat out stupid user decisions but miss shots(especially playing with random people). Those are the games that infuriate me more now.
