mid range deadeye

can anyone explain to me the point of this badge as it barely ever triggers at all.i understand what it should do but i havent triggered it once in 33 games.do i have to make shots straight in their faces or what?

Soft or hard contest shot within 11-17 feet away from the basket.

well what i can say is that mid range deadeye only works on hard contests.pretty usless badge

Heavy contested shot even if it not pop up it works thats how you grind this badge in career.

In online it popup really random even on open shots when a guy is trying to late contest you so its really good badge.

so this badge doesn't ever trigger if i do a step back move or anything? i have to stay still and shot in the face of the defender?

Offline yes online its different.

But you need to shot from free throw line.

Long midrange and 3p its for deep range deadeye.

Not ages i have around 10k points in 1 5 quarter min game.

You just go to freethrow line do double crossover and shoot if it says heavy contested you good if you have contested shot in 90 and difficult shots hof you can green it.

The practice work for mid-range deadeye is one of the easiest to work through....

While you don't get any points on the badge for taking lightly contested shots(only heavily and smothered) it gives you a bigger margin for error on lightly contested shots when shooting midrange shots. Gold basically eliminates a moderate chunk of late closeouts from affecting your shots. HOF basically lets you take any midrange as an OK shot(unless in crowd).

Yes, if you shoot immediatly after the stepback its always a light contest. You have to pretty much stand directly in front of your defender...

Does anyone realize that when you do a Mid Range Deadeye drill that you dont get 1200 points? I only get 960. I mean it says 1200 but the math shows 960.

It grinds to catch and shoot as well. If your build doesn't have the Catch and Shoot badge the points go nowhere. If you get your defender to come to you on your shots(heavily contested) the ratio of points going toward mid range deadeye gets bigger.

ive noticed those with this badge on gold take the worst contested shots in pro am.
