Re: Eliminate bowl bids and evenly distribute teams

My question is:

By spreading the teams evenly across all conferences, eliminating bowl ties;

3.will this allow recruits to view alabama who could be in the sun belt and arkansas state who's now in the Sec as virtually the same when it comes to conference prestige?

4. Will the bcs judge the teams as before (sec leaps and bounds ahead of the mac) or by doing this can Akron actually make the championship when its in an even conference with say ohio state michigan and notre dame?

For example:

There are 5 great conferences and 1 good conference
(ACC B10 B12 SEC PAC12) (American)
And 4 mid conferences
(CUSA MAC MWC SUN BELT)

The 5 great conferences have roughly a combined 64 teams.

The American conference has 12 teams

The 4 mid conferences have a combined 50 teams

My plan would be to distribute the 64 power teams into the 10 conferences, as well as the American teams, and the mid teams.

My goal is to try and give every team a realistic shot at winning a conference that matters and a legit championship shot.

If you have tried this or have any suggestions please let me know.

I have become OBSESSED with this dynasty I JUST started, I was in the same boat as you just a few months ago, until I stumbled upon the thread:Geographic Conference Realignment and found this AMAZING idea!

(=protected crossover opponent)

With these conferences you get geographical benefits and many rivalries stay intact. Also, there is a championship game for every conference.

The American Conference is unique, in that it is just the top rated private universities and service academies. Notre Dame gets the bulk of it's rivalries and annual games are protected as well. So, for example, every year one of the fixed non-conference games for Stanford is Cal. Same for USC, which will always play UCLA.

This works for many other teams as well. Alabama will have a non-conference slate that always includes LSU and Mississippi State.

I had to wait till Alabama won the natty last night to officially start it so I am only getting passed simming to 2018 (In case you're wondering I used default rosters with jkits sliders while using luca blight's main menu/dynasty settings with threshold at 47 for both mm/dynasty. I also have the coach progression setting at slow. I made sure each champion won each year 13-17 to stay true to the realism from the coaching prestige/program tradition/team prestige aspect) so I'm officially diving into this dynasty and so far I am enjoying it!
