One gate submissions need to be removed ASAP

The new sub system relies on carrying over progress from the previous gate in order to escape in later gates. How do one-gate subs have any place in this current sub system?

They're essentially inescapable assuming both players know how to play.

When you're in an FTF position after getting a severe knockdown on your opponent, the grapple hud will pop up and display some submissions for you to do, depending on the fighter and the position you could get arm triangles, RNCs, Armbars and kimuras, maybe more that I've just not seen, which you flick the stick towards and it puts you into a single gate submission instead of you finishing with strikes.

That's great. Was this in the beta? I did play the beta but never noticed it. Never read about it here either lol.

It was in the beta, it's just the style of knockdown you need is fairly rare.

I think for situations where the opponent is gassed or rocked badly it makes sense. Instant taps are part of the sport so it should be part of the game,but it should only be in certain conditions or only available to those with lvl 4+ of whatever submission (not sure of all the perk names yet)

UFC 2 has some sub exploits which let you start at stage 4. This is one of my top complaints with the game, even I use to play as grappler. Now, it got worse. Mm...

Fly arm bar was only 2 gates with Rose. I quickly figured out why my opponent was spamming clinch most of the fight.

I don’t understand why harder submissions tend to be easier than shorter ones, a flying armbar suplex should be very very difficult to do, its quite easy

Same with any other flying technique

They should patch it like they patched the roll, make players earn it

Yeah, not only is the logic bad. The balancing is just so obviously bad it's not even funny. Like who's the guy that thought winning a fight via a short mobile game that can be activated from a position that is easy to attain was a good idea? haha. I get that subs are hard to implement in a better way but making the sub two gates is something that everybody thinks is stupid.
