Online Longevity issues

There's a few things that really irk me that were included in prior iterations that I'd like changed.

Fight History -

In prior games you could go check your fight history and check their fighternet profile etc. Why was this removed? It was very helpful to game plan for opponents and also to see if you came up short against someone you should or shouldn't have.

Very puzzling removal.


Tracked Rivalry -

In my opinion tracked Rivalry from quick match invites shouldn't extend over to Ranked. I'd like ranked and player matches to be tracked independently.


Category leaderboard -

I'd love to be able to search and see who has the most sub wins online, sub losses etc. Maybe include a badge on the rivalry "wins" counter prefight that shows that they're a sub specialist or something if they're number one?



It's very frustrating as a player that plays for leaderboards that we've taken a step forward in matchmaking (debatable) and a step backwards in all other aspects.

The skill-based leaderboads is another of the improvements. Don't forget that. It goes beyond matchmaking.

I would like some "qualitative tracking" of players, too, kinda like accolades. But I can't say I miss Fighter Net. I think it was a bad attempt at doing that.

Well we still have fighternet but can't view our opponents? Doesn't make much sense.

We really need accolades - that was one of the best parts of the Undisputed Series.

Something on the leaderboars showing a players current and longest streak would also be nice.

And Undisputed didn't even do it well. I mean 2010. Dunno if they improved it radically for UD 3.

Good post and I agree with pretty much all of those (and more that you didn't list)

I will say that the new leaderboard and matchmaking system 'as a whole' is a huge improvement in my book ---- though it is puzzling why some of the nice features of past UFC games were removed (i.e. Ability to see fighternet profile)

If anything, they should have expanded and improved FighterNet, and added many more metrics/stats/accolades/etc.

Oh well, the leaderboard/MM system was improved a lot IMO, I'm getting great fights against solid opponents, and climbing leaderboard pretty quickly (when I'm able to play .... ugh)

But hopefully they can patch in some things

Yeah man I miss looking at my opponents record it boosted my confidence knowing I just beat a guy who’s 2500-500 or beating a highly ranked player now there’s no way of telling really

Maybe it’s just me but i think this new leaderboard ranking system sucks.

You can literally go 30-0 and be ranked in the top 10 then not play again for a whole week and still be there. ****, i could of stopped playing UFC 3 last tuesday and still have been ranked in the top 10 today.

This new ranking system doesn’t reward ppl who use different fighters at all and has turned ranked matches into just using the same top fighter in every division.

I’ve seen at times were you actually lose more points using a low rated fighter then using a top champion. Same goes if you win. The way the system is set up why would you use anybody but a high rated fighter. UFC 2 did that better were you could use anyone and still get points. Feature Fighters this year is worthless.

You can have over 300 fights online and still not be ranked, even if your record is good, but if i make a new account and play 30 games and go 25-5, i can be ranked in the top 50. I actually thought UFC 2 had a better system. The more you play made the leaderboard grind fun, but now you don’t even need to play that much.

This new system does nothing but reward ppl who don’t play that much but have a good record. **** i have 2 accounts on PSN that are in the top 30. lol (So dumb) 👎🏻

And one more thing...This new system allways matches me up with the same damn ppl over and over. It’s making ranked BORING!!!!

If you're beating great players then there's nothing wrong with that. That's why we have season's

but that’s the thing, you don’t need to beat good players at all. My new account i made i’ve been beating scrubs and i made it into the top 20 yesterday with ease. Just in a few hours i was ranked. lol

Your actually at a disadvantage if you play a lot with this leaderboard. You might aswell make a new account and start over from the bottom.

There's also a disconnect exploit online that ppl are starting to use to keep themselves on the leaderboard since a L can make you lose tons of points.

I’ve had 8 ppl disconnect during a match when they were losing and not get a lose. It’s the same exploit UFC 2 had but wasn’t a big deal since the leaderboard was time based, but with UFC 3 it’s now starting to become a issue.

I get a lot more from beating Top 100 players in my experience

That’s a big negative, because i’ve beaten DJ users in the top 100 with Ben Nguyen and some fights i only get 3 points, but if i lose i will lose around 15 points which is BS since i’m facing DJ and i’m using a crappy fighter.

I dunno. I think this leaderboard is kinda whack and has taken all the fun of grinding wins away with this season crap and with the way the points system is setup. Makes no sense at all.

I think the leaderboard is great as it prevents people from just playing thousands of matches in order to keep a lead.
