Pick and Roll Help

On the Xbox One X...

It's driving me crazy. I run the pick and roll with Harden and Capela (or CP3) and it's like Capela slides out of the way to let the defender chase me over the pick. I get no separation on the pick, Capela's defender doesn't switch so when Capela dives to the basket his defender just stays right with him and my guy stays with me.

I've nearly given up on it.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a slider that impacts the effectiveness of the pick and roll?

Are we talking strictly CPU? Or head to head?

I've noticed you can't be pressing speed all the time. Try learning to feather the controls. You can also switch the side of where the pick will be set. That causes the defense problems. Especially if you do it the last few seconds.

One more tip. Try calling your picks before you cross half court.

the game doesn't have a proper logic of slide concept in pick & roll slip that causes a switch so..

When should turbo be used on a pick and roll? I tend to switch it up but would like to see how others use it

Should it be as soon as I turn passed the screener?

If it's anything like MyCareer, the AI will "cheat".

When the game first dropped running a pick and roll and throwing oops or hitting floaters was by far the fastest way to gain XP for a MyPlayer's overall.

Once the method was made available to the public 2K tuned it out. Now I notice I can never get a clean pick and roll, and the help defender always plays perfect spacing wise. A lot of the times you do get a clean look and can hit the roller with an oop or intricate pass, a 3rd help defender will come down with psychic precision (Not a huge deal because he will leave his man wide open through a "skip pass", but it does eliminate a lot of potential XP to be had)

i noticed they toned down some of the physical picks that have been in the game before, sometimes a defender just quickly sliders over the pick and it doesn't do anything, i think 2k fears they may get to much overpowered animations from picks.
