Wow nice, Ozzie's somersault...would love to know who mocapped that!

I like seeing that they're making this a selling point and advertising it - I have fun messing with the legends in a fantasy draft franchise sometimes. I hope they fixed the fantasy draft bug that caused CPU teams to not have enough bench position players though (it evens itself out as players get called up due to injury, so it didn't flat-out kill that way of playing).

I have not been able to play the show since the year before the legends entered the picture. I hope to play this year. Are all the legends available from the start for season/franchise play? Or do you have to unlock some, or do some come later in the season?

You don't unlock them for offline play - the ones that are in the game should be immediately available. I can't verify whether all of these guys were in the roster when '17 launched, but there are over 70 playable legends in the game right now. I'm guessing they were all there at game launch, but can't say for sure since we're almost a year removed now.

"Legend" designation is used rather liberally since Karros (81 OVR) and Reynolds (86) are considered as such by the game (and I'm including them in the 70), but I'm not counting the developers' players who are no better than 60 OVR.

Loving the equipment accuracy for the legends. Still some work to be done (Ted Williams wearing arm bands, Giambi using a modern LS bat, etc) but great improvements overall from the past few years.

The team has done a really nice job of allowing us to edit players to make them look like they played in their respective eras.......buuut would it kill them to add some retro low tops or any type of retro cleat?? IMG_8116.JPGThe franklin gloves are perfect, but it’s hard to find some accurate looking non-generic shoes. I really wish they’d add some low-top retro nike clippers like these. Theyd look accurate for 1950s-90s players.

It's nice to they assign emotions realistically...

Cal Ripken never displayed that kind of emotion ever on the diamond.

hard to tell but in the shot of Frank Thomas, it doesnt look like bleecher seats were added to the outfield at Guaranteed Rate Field. Could be hard to tell cuz its far away but still looks like seats out in left field.

Ryne Sandberg is my all time favorite player. I hope that they have his stance fixed this year. The one they gave him the last two years just isn’t his. If not I’m glad they have the stance editor. This year I used adam Everett’s stance with the two handed style 2 to replicate Ryno’s stance circa 1989 to the end of his career stance.
