No career mode love in patch

I am very happy with all the gamepay changes but I really wish they would have randomized rivals and champions in career mode for replayability. I hope it is in the next patch. I also really hope we get cpu taunts.

While, I agree id like to see different champions and random rivals, 100%. Getting the difficulty lowered starting from contender is HUGE for me. This was damn near unplayable for me with aggravation

We've got some plans and ideas lined up around this, but they're bigger changes than it may seem. Definitely not abandoning career mode, worry not!

Agreed, these were no minor updates and will seem to make it a tad easier, I think I almost broke about 6 controllers once I hit top 12. lol Will The new fighters be in career mode?

Setting the start of career mode to 3-5 years ago so that outcomes match history up until time our fighter starts breaking top-10 in UFC? So that we make our UFC debut on the undercard of UFC 189 McGregor/Mendes?

Or how about age/longevity decreasing stats? No 65 year old Mark Hunts. No endless reign at 100 overall stats, because no man defeats time.

See, the age thing, doesn't bother me in the least bit, I prefer it that way. Mainly because by the time we get to top 10, a lot of the fighters will be retired if you are going by real life. By the time you get out of the under leagues and fight your way up, that's like what 3, rl years. I want to battle Hunt in the stand up.

Awesome news! I also want to point out that the ai doesn't ever hold when you have it fully mounted. I want the cpu capable of everything the player is. The structure for career mode is such an improvement. We just need the replay value where the champions can change dynamically and the rivals are not always the same. Thanks for all your hard work.

I also have never seen the ai perform a takedown off of a caught kick come to think about it.

And we shouldn't be forced to retire with good records but instead be forced back down into the wfa to work our way back up again.

I would love it to be an option

The age thing completely kills any possibility for immersion for me.

I cant even bring myself to play it knowing i’ll be fighting 50 year old Woodley

i think this career mode is a good attempt and a step in the right direction but it still doesnt grab you into the game. Im looking forward to ea ufc 4 career mode if there is one.

wait... did any MODE get changes in this patch? lol people act like they are neglecting career mode. all the changes affect career mode as well as all the other modes. they have to get the gameplay correct before they start adding bells and whistles

Just play the game online, it's more fun and rewarding while at the same time frustrating and rage-inducing, but it'll make you a better player overall. We need more online players to enlarge the community. I mean we are talking about a sports game with a not very in-depth story mode. Never understood the appeal to only playing the game offline, reduces it's replay value imo. I beat the career mode on Pro spamming elbows from side control in every fight and retired undefeated. Enough said.
