Am I alone when it comes to server quality?

Lately almost every match has a major input delay, even against people I've fought before. No other signs of a problem on my end. Transitions are getting defended instantly and even my predenies aren't registering. It leaves me trying to play 2 seconds ahead of what I see on the screen. Being 1600+ is a challenge as is, let alone when 2/3 matches are lag battles. Never had an issue with this until now

I'm also noticing a bit more lag than before. This afternoon I had to quit a match because it was impossible to work around the lag. Then again, the next few fights were no problem (very fun fights btw).

The game doesn't have servers. It's all based on your connection with your opponent.

Makes sense. Weird that facing the same person would be more delayed than the first time. Could be an issue on either fighters connection though if that's the case

This is becoming more and more frequent. Have matches that I can't deny anything and my strikes are so delayed its unplayable.

Then there's matches that start out fine but once I rock my opponent its starts lagging the rest of the match or when grappling is initiated too it lags the match. Idk if people are intentionally lagging it or what.

I wish we had some control over the latency we will accept. I'm tired of playing against people with garbage internet connections.

No, you are not alone with the lag issues. It's persisted across all EA UFC games in my experience and makes the game unplayable at a competitive level. It's been on and off for me the whole time. I haven't had a lag free game in at least a week though.

+1 to this. There are two people that I get matched with constantly that I've never beat due to constant lag. Damn I wish I could block them.

My impression is that a lot of the 1v1 fighting games have issues with lag.

Nah you're not alone there's just nothing we can do. For some reason there's more lag on this game than any other game I've played.

I played a guy with HORRIBLE connection issues 4 times and the first three matches it would take half a second to a full second for my button input to register. I could not counter or land a punch and as soon as he intiated clinch or takedowns i could not deny anything. I beat me by decision the first 3 matches. I finally met up with him again when he had a good connection and dominated him easily until knocking him out in the second round after 3 knockdowns. So on my ranked record he gave me three losses because of lag when with good connection he could barely hang AT ALL

Lately my matches have been unplayable where it would just freeze up every 5 seconds. I have not faced any of this issue before either.

I have noticed that lag exists much much more on playstation than it does xbox. At first i though maybe it was a coincidence but it definitely isn't. I lag pretty consistently on ps4 and maybe have 1/10 games on xbox that are even close to as bad.
